Great resort, staff, and valet team! Restaurants were a bit disappointing for us (we are plant-based) and servers got things wrong multiple times for my wife who has many dietary restrictions at this time. Morimoto restaurant did not have the plant based sushi rolls they used to and the chef was not very flexible with modifying the menu - server was also rude. Four Seasons is a much better option for the price.
The location of the resort is exceptional with beautiful views of the sunset against the mountains and ocean. Several nice restaurants on the resort property and additional restaurants are within easy walking distance. Be prepared to pay approximately $60 for a breakfast and $150 for a nice dinner. The economy is of a little different scale in Maui with the minimum wage being around 25/hour. Drinks will run around $20-25 a piece so just be prepared if you are coming from a more reasonably priced area.
Best hotel in Maui. Clean, no kids and great food. Highly recommend for couples and older families. Hope to be back soon and enjoy more of the pools and beach. The breakfast is amazing so don't miss that!
This is our second time staying at the Andaz. The Hotel villa was absolutely wonderful. The staff, restaurants, and amenities were all wonderful. We also booked a massage at their spa and could not believe how great the service was. The resort is our favorite for Maui.
First I would be very careful in your choice of room! A partial ocean view at a rack rate of $1500 afforded us a view of solar panels, see photo. Tired scratched up night stands, small awkward design room with a single sink in bathroom- nothing that made you feel you are in luxury for the price. Service is inconsistent- no greeting when we arrived mid afternoon- patchy service at adult pool with long waits. Given the choices on Wailea this is not a property I would return too.
