Do you appreciate good customer service? Don't stay here. Do you like your pool towels to feel like dish rags? Do stay here. Infity edge pool overlooking the parking lot? Check Beach chair rental that you have to visit a neighbor hotel and pay $45? Yep, they have that too. Body lotion in your room? No, of course not. What I'm saying is if you value your vacation stay anyplace else. They may present themselves as a "nice" hotel for a good value because you are not right on the beach, but the old saying, you get what you pay for...
Read the reviews carefully. Although we are having a great time here, the complaints are accurate and you need to determine what is important to you. The one complaint that is extremely valid no matter what your circumstance is the lack of drawers. There is empty space where you can put things but considering that most people stay for days, the lack of drawer space should be considered heavily for your personal preference. I am currently sitting on our oceanfront balcony. It is gorgeous. It does in fact overlook the parking lot. It’s not that pretty but the pool and ocean are gorgeous so it doesn’t bother me. It could very well bother you. The staff is in fact great. We asked for lotion and got it within five minutes. They do have daily room service which during Covid is not at all a given. Personally, I think it is much better than the Marriott Wailea beach club bc it is not a congested massive hotel. It is very quiet. It is also November 2021 and I’m guessing half full so maybe it’s not always quiet. We also used Marriott points and I doubt I’d feel quite the same had we paid the $850/night that is the current rate for this room. There is zero privacy from the bathroom. Yes there is a door but it is opaque and provides zero noise or light protection. If your roommate turns on the light in the bathroom during the night, you will feel like you are living the scene in Christmas vacation. A definite plus is that they have a peloton in the exercise facility. Peloton addicts understand. It is super close to the golf courses. All in all it is a great experience but you should carefully consider what ia important to you.…
This hotel is within walking distance of shopping and restaurants and is small compared to the neighboring hotels. Has a decent pool area with the largest hot tub I’ve ever been in and an heated pool. Know that you may need to pay to reserve the cabanas pictured on their website. Breakfast buffet and bar are done well and would recommend a visit. Staff are very kind and helpful. Hotel room is clean and has a modern style. My only complaint is that the room is noisy. If you get a room on the road side of the hotel, it is has a lot of traffic noise and sitting on the deck is impossible (for me). We requested a quiet room but got an active occupant above us. I can hear them walking, jumping, running back and forth. You may not get exactly what you want.
This is an absolutely stunning hotel just a short walk from the beach with a gorgeous pool. We loved how quiet the hotel was, and our room right off the pool absolutely made our stay. The views were incredible. But, this review is to recognize the staff at this property. Everyone we met was beyond helpful and friendly. Jonell always had a smile on his face and was very accommodating at check in. Kiani was a superstar and provided exceptional service. We looked forward to seeing her at breakfast every morning and we could not stop talking about how kind she was. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, and I cannot express how much it meant to us traveling all the way from New York City. As a fellow Marriott employee, I can confidently say that her level of service is unmatched. Thank you for such a memorable trip! We hope to make it back again someday :)…
We stayed here for a week as part of our honeymoon. We had a wonderful time in Maui and at the hotel, but overall feel a little conflicted about a review. It’s clean, fresh and modern. The pool area is nice (although really odd that it overlooks the car park - but when sat down you just see the infinity pool and ocean behind which is lovely), with a great bar, hot tub, and we really liked the music! The negative for us is just about what you get for the enormous price tag. The cost is a little less than the fancy beachside resorts, but also when you walk though them you realise they are a world apart and offer much more of a luxury holiday vibe. The AC by contrast feels best for a short 1-2 night stay between places, if you are a business traveller, or if you’re able to get a really good deal. We think for this price tag they need to improve the amenities - free parking, better breakfast, free rides down to the beach, more / better toiletries etc.…
Location - in Wailea area south of Kihei. Great location if one prefers the south side of the island Rooms - modern , fairly spacious. The shower was awesome - strong jet with lots of hot water . Wifi worked well. Staff - all very polite and helpful . Parking - parking lot not huge , but I had no problem finding parking close to hotel entrance. $30 per day in case you are wondering… Breakfast- at $22 for breakfast Buffett - good value . The choice of items is limited , but quality is good and all the hot items were tasty. Pool - for a smallish hotel , the pool size is decent . For a hotel that is not right at the oceanfront , the pool has amazing sunset views… Overall a great property. I like the smaller size of the hotel, and the fact that they don’t have a separate resort fee is a huge plus. The only criticism I have is that housekeeping is a little sloppy - the cleaning of the rooms could have been better and more thorough……
No doubt, this is a beautiful hotel - the rooms are beautiful, the grounds area as well as the pool area are also really beautiful. I ordered a virgin colada at the pool bar and was disappointed that it seemed to be just plain pineapple juice — Also, I don’t understand why there is no screen on the sliding glass door in our guest room - seems to me that if a guest can keep the door open to feel the breeze, that’s a lot cheaper than being forced to close the door to keep the birds out, forcing the guest to put on the air conditioning which I’m sure costs a lot more! Pretty hotel with good customer service. For 2 days, every public restroom at 2 different ends of the hotel had zero hand soap or towels. Many of the hand sanitizer stations were also empty. Makes me wonder how staff are cleaning their hands if I have trouble cleaning mine. And if this is their launch, how will things be in a year. Nice pool with a lovely view. Menu is limited but not horribly priced. $30 a day to park. Room was comfortable
We LOVED this hotel. Everyone was so kind and absolutely fantastic. Gorgeous, new room. Super easy to get to the beach, and the pool/ bar was a great afternoon hangout. Jenver at the front desk is SO wonderful - not to mention everyone at the hotel! We highly recommend.
We had to find a hotel for the last night of our Maui trip, after staying at a family member's house in Lahaina. Thank God for Marriott points, or this would have been a VERY expensive hotel stay for one night. This is during the height of after-Covid travels, where cars alone would run you around $2k for the week (we opted to go with Turo.com for car options, by the way). Of all the hotels, not just in the area, but in the entire island - - this is one of the cheaper ones, and it's about $800+ when we looked at the price. Like I said, thank God for points. Now, it's not the most fabulous hotel in the area, it's an area full of high-end resorts that offers far better amenities than this one. But, there are a few things that this hotel offer than the others. One; staff. Jenver was an amazing front desk clerk. He was patient during the time we were fussing around for our Covid card, etc. I also requested a quiet hotel room with a view, and he delivered. Our hotel room on the 2nd floor is far enough from the pool/bar noise, but the view is great, we have both ample ocean and mountain views. Then, then! The pool area. The free live music is outstanding, and the view is stupendous. We stayed there for hours, and we did not want to leave, we only left because we wanted to get some poke for dinner at the local Times market. The sunset, along with the lighting of the torches, the bar food and drinks, and the hammocks and seating area we parked our 'okoles' (butts) to, would be something I could do every day, if my pockets would allow me to. The infinity-style pool is great as well. The room, just like any AC hotel, is good and fairly minimalist style. There's little storage, but it's clean, brand-new, and the bed's comfortable. We enjoyed our poke and rice from Times at our room balcony, enjoying the mauka and makai views. Finally, because it is still, an AC hotel, even though there's definitely a ton of affluent-looking guests at the hotel, I never felt like my (former Hawaii local) self stuck out. No stuffy, snobby Maui island tourists here. My comfort level at this hotel is great. Will stay there again for sure, I just need to make sure I earn ample Marriott points.…
