My family took the opportunity to have a long weekend break in the lovely Spainish town of Peniscola. We flew from Bristol to Castellion . The hotel were kind enough to organise a local taxi company to pick us up as we didn`t want to hire a car. The cost was 130 euro between 4 of us.(Car hire would have been around the same.) Hotel Blason Junior is clean ,the staff are friendly . Its was mainly Spanish families staying at the hotel. The hotel was affordable and basic. The room had air conditioning which was useful as the temperature was in the 30`s. We only booked the room hence did not eat at the hotel . We did this ,due to the location being fantastic for the town and castle.

The location was great, about 100 metres to the sea but one of two rooms was very small and both rooms were internal with no views out.
There is a nice courtyard where you can sit and relax or wait for someone
It was perfect for one night but if I was staying longer I would have change the room
We did not eat there but there is a friendly bar at one entrance

Old hotel, which had better days, although now they were in full renovation to clean it up, it almost looks more like a hostel, we asked for dinner and they wouldn't let us, I don't know if it's just the restaurant and they couldn't help it, but not for The number of people...as for the breakfast that we did not have buffet style, we thought upon seeing it something poor according to what they charge.
We had a bad night, although the one they gave us was supposed to be one of the renovated ones...the bed was not comfortable and also small, the neighbors set up a mess in the middle of the night, when I left the room to see what was happening, I found myself I told the janitor in the courtyard so calmly about the issue and he didn't even flinch...I understand that being a family business, assuming the costs of such a renovation is not easy, and they have a lot of work ahead of them, I wish them good luck. The location of the hotel is the best and the terrace it has, also a small parking lot in front to be able to park to unload luggage, I would not return

After almost a week behind the hotel to be able to solve an administrative issue, in which they did not answer through the booking platform, nor the phone (at first they gave everything but later they turned it off or directly blocked the phones) nor internal emails from the hotel. hotel, they have answered our request.

Due to an error the reservation was made on the wrong weekend. Being aware of this error, we proceed to verify that there is availability on the correct dates and that the price is the same or similar (without paying the difference).

A week later they answer directly that they cannot do anything, since Booking has those conditions, but the surprise is when Booking indicates that if the establishment accepts the change of dates, there is no problem.

Please understand that the reservation is without refund but we have strongly requested the modification, since we are regular visitors to said town.

Given what we have seen and the forms, we will never recommend this establishment.

A shame about the lack of empathy.

We have been visiting this hotel for more than 10 years, and as always, very good attention from the family that runs the hotel, as always they provide a service of 10. The rooms with terrace are spacious for three. And they always leave the room super clean.

No wi-fi, terrible breakfast, sort of a canteen.
Ugly bedroom, no value for money, so to speak.
Still, they did provide air-conditioning.
They wouldn't allow us to get the wi-fi password for some awkward stupid secret reason...
Great location though. I suppose that explains the attitude.
A definite must not.
the problem with these resorts is they're all packed in the high season and make the most of it, profitwise...

Very central. But the owner of the hotel is an unpleasant person with very bad manners.
You cannot park in the area and you have to get a ticket for the car very far from the hotel.
They call it a hotel but it is as if it were an old pension.
