A good Hotel, I have repeated again after five years approx, we stayed in a “suite”, very comfortable and spacious, cleaning ten, the hotel staff all very attentive and friendly, renovated, a large pool, but the sun loungers are short at certain hours, but you have the advantage of having the beach a “stone’s throw” from the hotel. At a certain time hotel staff pass by the pool and check the deckchairs with towels and if they do not occupy it for a while, put stickers and then remove the towels, very effective, thanks to the hotel management for this measure. At reception you are assigned in which restaurant you will eat the food, you have the option to book a lunch or dinner in the themed Restaurants of the Hotel: French, American, Italian and Mediterranean, a good option to get out of the daily buffet routine. The food of the hotel is very well prepared and varied. I recommend when you arrive at the hotel to reserve a parking space, because in the surrounding area you can not find room for your car. The entertainment in the pool and in the evenings at the hotel is very varied. It is a family hotel, therefore you will find many “small”, which surprised us that there were few foreign tourists, almost all of us were Spanish, so the times of the “buffet” fit our schedules. I'm sure we'll repeat. Thanks to the Hotel Management and the Hotel Staff for the good service and personal treatment.

We went from August 22 to August 28 to Breakfast and Half Pension three people, there were many people. The room we touched was very large, was very nice, has fridge and safe and in the bathroom hairdryer and gel both in the bathtub and in the shower. Most things you have to take on their website. For example the pool hammocks we could catch until the 24th as check in is at 16H however if you go earlier and have room available you can enter somewhat earlier so when you enter the 22nd all hammocks were caught by the 23rd. There are two hammock shifts morning and afternoon. Mornings leave from 00:01 and afternoons from 8:00, hours are from 8:00 to 15:30 tomorrow and from 15:30 until closing. If the hammock is free in the morning from 12h you can catch it and in the afternoon from 5h, they are free but those on the beach have to pay, we did not catch. However when you check in the first thing to do is to take the theme restaurants because otherwise you have no place. We took La Brasserie is fine but I do not recommend it to us we did not like it much and then the Mare Nostrum and the Trattoria are very good. We took outside parking that leaves on the day 15€ and there is inside that costs 18€. Then there are three shifts of breakfast and dinner, I imagine food too. We have the Vinaros Buffet the first breakfast shift from 8:30 to 9:15 and dinner from 20:15 to 20:45 however you can change in the dining room. There are many Buffet the hotel is very large. Everything consumed is charged to the room and if it reaches 200€ you are left with a letter under the door of the room to pay at reception. There was a lot of entertainment both in the morning and evening and evening. The beach is just leaving the hotel by the pools and in that area there are not many people if you go soon as 11:00 no problem even a little later. There are plenty of restaurants outside the complex and bars for both Peñiscola and Benicarlo, because the hotel is about 5Km from the center of Peñiscola, it is closer to Benicarlo and you have room to park towards this area then you have Supermarkets towards Benicarlo at 1.5Km Spar and 4.5Km Mercadona y lidl. We had a good time.

We made the reservation through the RCI website of which we are members, and we had no information that they would charge us an electricity fee of 40 euros at check-in. It didn't seem good to us at all, since if we follow this plan they will soon also charge us another fee for running water and that will make the price you "innocently" pay when making the reservation online not be real at all, since curiously Then other "surprise" expenses appear that do not depend on you...
Furthermore, in the same entry document they also informed us that the room would be cleaned once during the week we stayed and instead the cleaning workers told us that it would be two...

We stayed at this hotel in February 2020. A week before we were planning on staying there, we received an email from Hilton/RCI, stating that the spa was damaged from recent storms and wouldn't be in use. I called and no one knew anything about this. Don’t know if spa even was there. The location was very difficult to find, but the lobby was impressive. The room they gave us was ok. Oh and there was a $30 charge per week stay to pay for the electricity? Space was fine for the three of us, but the towels were thin, dingy, and felt like paper towels. There was 1 half roll of toilet paper and 3 tissues left in the box. Room wasn’t “cleaned” until Wednesday ( we arrived on Sunday) Housekeeping didn’t leave us any extra toilet paper, and only rinsed out the cups in the bathroom- they were still dirty when we returned for the day. Went to the buffet one day; food had been sitting around for hours and was semi-warm. The buffet was $25 per person; it was maybe worth $10. We were charged for parking of 9 euros/day- each time we approached the gate, we prayed it would open with our keycard. Most of the time it didn’t open and we had to go back inside and get a new card. This was the case numerous days as cars lined up to enter the parking area. Staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Very disappointing hotel.

Response from AtencionZT, Director de Relaciones con Clientes at Hotel & Spa Peniscola Plaza Suites
Responded 28 Feb 2020
We regret that your stay has not met all your expectations, but we would like to point out that as an RCI customer you have different conditions from those of a direct hotel client. These conditions are marked by the RCI in its contract with you. Regardless of this, this is not why you are treated differently. For us all the people staying in our hotel are our guest and we try to serve them in the best possible way, although we understand that there are certain aspects such as kindness or courteous treatment that are very subjective.

The rooms are massive, WiFi works and some of the staff are very welcoming, however here is a word of caution.
We were sold “all inclusive” by the travel agent (and got charged €2,500 for 2 rooms however on arrival at the hotel we found out that “all inclusive” was actually full board with some free drinks. The staff reception are beyond rude and patronising and we were told that we needed to upgrade to “all inclusive diamond” for €50 per person per day to experience what constitutes all inclusive.
The food is ok and so is the swimming pool. Service levels are not up to scratch either (the staff flat refused to help organise a birthday cake for my mom), we were assigned to the late dining shift at 22:00 and the receptionist refused to offer any alternatives)
I am very disappointed by how this hotel is intentionally misleading customers by selling and charging “all inclusive” and then coercing customers to pay more on arrival to get the “all inclusive” experience.
There are a large number of wonderful hotels in this area and there is no need to stay here.

We are currently staying in the Peñíscola plaza suite 6 people with 3 rooms with an all-inclusive regime that is, 9 nights 6 people 7000 euros that's the joke, I say this so that no one thinks it's a gift
We entered yesterday the 8th and we leave on the 18th
1) Room shower head issues fixed quickly, same room key decoding issues twice the same day
2) room clogged shower problem solved safe lock problem solved loss of water in cistern solved
3) room and bathroom flooded due to a leak yesterday at 9 pm without air conditioning today at 4:00 pm we still have a leak and no air conditioning
And I wonder, is the maintenance service a service as such, that is, maintenance, or is it just a repair service and the word maintenance is for decoration? At 2:00 p.m. I called the reception saying that when was the solution ready? , response when they can go they will go, in response to such a response my indignation suggests a complaint form response do what you want and they have hung up on me, this is a 4 star or is it an inn, without offending the inns that probably have better service personalized My great disappointment with this famous hotel is enormous and I want to express it here, so that people do not be fooled by an included tido online from Olaya because the only thing you are not going to step on is the beach, it is bad, small with dirty stones and for children impossible to go if you are looking for plyforget about this hotel and if you are looking for good treatment and pleasant receptionists forget about coming here, and if what you want is tranquility this is not your hotel either, I was wrong coming with the whole family, I hope to help people who read me and don't make my same mistake
Because it is impossible to park if you do not pay for the gym, paying for the sauna, etc. etc.

This is a 4 star superior hotel and it really is not.
The rooms depending on the one you choose are quite correct although they begin to need a review of the walls and bathroom. ..but they can happen.
The location in front of the beach allows you to combine it with the pool. But the hotel is far from everything, both Peñiscola and Benicarló, and practically nothing nearby. You can get around by bus, since you are lucky to be able to park without paying, I recommend not move the car
In our case, a person has reduced mobility (he does not have a chair) but for the hotel, the disabled places with a card must be paid the same €11/day. Every day I look at the places and it is a shame because they are empty but for the hotel There is no type of modesty in the face of difficulties. So, we have parked more than 700m away and we cannot move, since the bus is not easy to access for people with reduced mobility either. I asked for an explanation and as I say, I'm sorry. They tested that you pay the same if you are disabled or not.
That they are not governed by the European economic community but by the Valencian community. Amazing!!! The food is poor and the service in the dining rooms is horrible. The staff is very fair with a lack of knowledge. And sometimes, uneducated.
In general, as another person said, it has many shortcomings to be considered of the category that they sell to us customers.

Comment on a 2-week half-board stay.
Good points :
- the room: clean, spacious, well soundproofed. Professional and friendly housekeepers.
- responsive technical staff: safe problem repaired (but not fixed!)
- Very large swimming pool, given the capacity of the hotel (comment seen on this site, which partly decided us). First time, moreover, that we see that a hotel is trying to enforce the regulation on the "non-reservation" of deckchairs, because, in fact, at 11 a.m., no place is available. You must wait until 2/3 p.m. (all inclusive meal times) to hope to find a place when the hotel agents have cleared the towels from the unoccupied deckchairs.
Negative points :
- Home: no information, just one leitmotif: flash the QR Code! So, if you have illiteracy or just want to de-co-nnec-ter, this hotel is not for you.
A simple A4 sheet with the main information would be enough, particularly concerning the spending limit of €200. Indeed, when you take parking at €11/day for the duration of your stay, this ceiling is inevitably quickly reached. So, you are entitled to a beautiful envelope slipped under your bedroom door, and yes! there, the hotel knows how to find paper!!! No SMS or phone call to tell you to go to reception...it's awkward if not unpleasant, especially since reception gives you the cover on the QR Code!!!
- Catering: buffet: very fatty cuisine, cold side dishes. That's probably why there are microwaves in the room.
As for themed restaurants: the best is the fish one where you have a minimum of service, (special mention for Ghita, a real waitress)
Please, for the staff you assign to these "restaurants", teach them that we do not bring the 2nd dish when the 1st is not finished!!! (French brasserie and Californian restaurant)
As for Italian: if you like to have the dough for your pizza on one side (poorly defrosted) and the ingredients on the other, you can sign up for the Trattoria.
I will end with Noise, the decibels! Outdoors from 4:45 p.m. at the swimming pool it is between 85 & 90 dB, which is strictly prohibited.
And the same at the bar, indoors this time!
So much for these observations, we draw the conclusions, we are not customers for this type of hotel.

I am a tour guide working for a company in Torrevieja, I have just come back from a 4 day stay here. I took 59 very happy Norwegians. The hotel was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, the swimming pool was fabulous and some people enjoyed a swim even in October. The food was plentiful with lots of choices, well cooked and very tasty, non of my group had any complaints with any of it and I ate rather too much because it was delicious!
There was a bus every 1/2 hour into Peníscola that ran until 12.00, some people enjoyed walking into town with lots of pit stops on the way for a beer!
We all enjoyed the nightly music and dancing by the swimming pool. The hotel has several more places to enjoy your evening but not all open at this time of year.
I used the spa, 14 euros well spent, a quite large pool with plenty of jets, towels and a robe were included and a nice relaxing area with a choice of teas, you get 90 minutes but no one chased me out when my time was up.
As you can imagine it’s quite hard to please 59 people but they all raved about this great hotel. I’m coming back in the summer with my husband for a holiday! See you again soon and thanks for a lovely relaxing stay and 2 kilos in weight that I put on!

The hotel has disappointed us a lot. I'd already been twice years ago and say it's changed for the worse. They do not separate smoking rooms from non-smoking rooms so if you are not a smoker and you have a smoker in the next room by the draft you swallow all the smoke in the room. A lot of noise in the vicinity, dogs barking every night, suppliers who come to unload trucks to the hotel and put noise as if there were fireworks... An obsolete gym where the machines are unmaintained... doesn't work half as well. We noticed the manager but three days passed and they still hadn't fixed it. The buffet long queues for breakfast as well as lunch or dinner plus little Mediterranean food... Many fritangas sausages burgers kebabs but lack quality products in a four-star hotel such as avocado or smoked salmon or a well-made paella... Crockery was not in perfect cleaning condition there were dishes that had to be discarded because they were dirty and the glasses all mottled, they really have a problem with the dishwasher. The strongest thing that happened to us was to see a tray of steamed mussels with all the algae and hair that indicated that they had not been cleaned or washed... We complained to the chef who attended us very kindly but did nothing the tray left her there with that look like I show in the picture... After three days they turned mussels again and in the same conditions I complained again and they don't care... They listened kindly to me but didn't take anything back. Third and last time we go, because we have felt conned especially by the buffet
