The hotel is located at the entrance to Peñiscola, so on the one hand it's great because you're not in all the hustle and bustle, but on the other hand you have to admit that walking all day is a bit far from the beach and the old town. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with a large bathroom, a small terrace, a television, and in our case, I asked for a double bed because we traveled with a 1-year-old baby and it is more comfortable to sleep in, and they accommodated us. The only downside is that our room faced the road and there was a lot of noise during the night. There are no blinds either and the dawn bothered us a lot.
The hotel has three swimming pools, one of them for children and the public spaces are well maintained, a patio to have a drink right next to a pool and near the reception and the bar. The breakfast leaves a little to be desired, there is little variety, for my taste, of salty. The coffee is from a vending machine, something I don't like at all, because it costs little to make one from a good machine.
Regarding the staff, there was a very friendly man at the reception upon our arrival. Then we met a lady, who must be a nice manager or owner as well.

3 nights in your quiet and relaxing establishment, ideal poolside apartment, pool often in the shade but on the contrary relaxing. Staff Welcome and Room Services very nice and attentive. Very clean place, breakfast room lacks a little charm! Parking Inn available (12€ per day), All city and paid... About 15min from the beach south side much less frequented and more Clean. Thanks again to all your team. I highly recommend you.

We have spent 6 nights in this Hotel and we are very happy.
Taking into account that the price is half that of other hotels in the area, I proceed to evaluate it.
The room was great, good beds, very careful cleaning, equipped with everything you need, good terrace, good functioning of the AC.
The pools are great, although you have to keep in mind that it is a hotel aimed at families, and in this case, with babies between 1 and 5 years old, so there are plenty of them in the pool.
Anyway, there are 3 pools, and 1 of them is set aside for a more adult audience without children.

The worst: the distance, 10 minutes from the sea. And the Breakfast Buffet, since the products are of low quality and after day 3 you have already hated everything it offers.

We would return without a doubt

Good hotel, especially in terms of price/quality. The aparthotel principle is nice because of the space you have, including a kitchenette and also cleaning, towels and breakfast every day.
Friendly staff, nice swimming pool. Breakfast simple but enough choice.
The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the beach and center.
Garage and safe for an additional charge.
The only disadvantage I would like to mention is that shampoo, shower gel and toilet paper are not replenished after the first day. It can be obtained from reception, but I find that cumbersome.

About 1.5 hours from Valencia airport by car depending on traffic.
The hotel is located about 1 km from the Northern beach and 800 m from the Southern shallow beach, a great place for kids to play and swim.
600-700 m away is to the Mercadona market.
Generally, the location for the beach holidays is poor, it is not the first line, and there is a necessity of daily walking, however the price is great.
The room had a fridge, a microwave, an AC and a set of cutleries.
The door locking system in Puerto Mar is designed in a such a manner that visitors close their doors with a bang. You hear door bangings from morning till night.
The room was cleaned regurlarly and well, except for the bed linen, which was not changed at least once during 2 weeks time!
The breakfasts were 100% identical for 2 weeks, and for a couple of days you could do with it, for 2 weeks you would not eat ice-cold eggs, untasty 2 types of sausages and one type of cheese. Yoghurt assortment was also poor.
The juice was OK, and the coffee was quite tasty.
Dinners were much tastier, with a different varieties of meat, fish, soups, fried chips, ice creams, cakes, etc.
When the groups of youngsters come for a stay the hotel turns very noisy.
It is a matter of sheer luck!
Many thanks to Vincent who did his best with his limited English for kind relocating us from a noisy traffic street room to the quiet one in the inner garden and helping us with choosinf the right excusrtions.
A thousand thanks to Angela who brought us in her own to the Railway station in Benicarlo to catch up with a train when the taxi service has let us down.
A very good personal and pleasant impressions!

I had an apartment with a huge bathroom, a sofa and a lot of space. Very good breakfast, good stuff and good locations. Ten minutes walk to the beach and very near a Mercado. They have three pools on two levels and a very good restaurant.

This hiotel is about half a mile from the sea up a slight incline. Being older people we drove the car down to the beach and then walked. Parking might be a problem in mid-summer. The hotel was clean and well presented although almost empty. Because of the lack of clients the normal buffet service was abandoned and we were served a-la-carte to excellent hot well cooked food. Breakfast is very Spanish, so no fry-ups vailable, but all meals were plentiful and we were constantly asked if we would like more. The apartments are made up of double bedroom, bathroom and living room with double sofa bed, dining area and small kitchenette. The hotel has two adult and one childrens pools all of which were clean and well maintained. There is a small bar. This hotel is not for the night life brigade but for anyone wanting a quiet family holiday it is ideal.

This apart hotel is located at the entrance in the picturesque touristic town Peniscola, so not so near to the beaches or the old historical part of the town.
The architecture of the hotel is interesting but I recommend to be careful when accepting the receptionists room offers. We had to move 2 times from the rooms. First time we get an apartment which was located at the ground at only approx. 3 m to the pool but we were not interested to jump directly from the bedroom into the pool, plus it was the usual noise of each pool, so we requested another room. The 2nd apartment was noisy due to the outside ventilation exhaust duct and so we had to move into the 3rd apartment. This one was more acceptable, except hearing the outside traffic noise... The apartments are clean and comfortable, with a small kitchen with all necessary tools, etc. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The closing of the external door is extremely noisy due to the stupid closing system, which was promised to be changed next winter...The receptionists are helpful but quite reserved and cold, could have been more friendly, in general.
The breakfast is very basic, the dinner and lunch food were satisfactory. As a nice surprise, we got at lunch or dinner a bottle of wine 3/4 liters and 1 1/2 liters of water free of charge but I think this was only for our group of tourists, the rest of tourists must pay them.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights while traveling the Spanish coast by train. The apartment was very clean and a good size with a separate bedroom. The kitchen had basic dishes for two. Glasses were borrowed from the bar as pots and pans were borrowed from reception which was a bit annoying. Breakfast buffet was included with a good choice. The two swimming pools were small and busy with small children late afternoon. The staff were friendly and very helpful as the hotel was a good 15 min walk to the centre.
Peniscola has a beautiful beach with lots of bars and restaurants and great views of the castle. There’s a bus service which runs along the beach front and from the train station Benicarlo Peniscola about 20/30mins from the centre by bus. Train service is limited from Benicarlo Peniscola to Barcelona I would advise pre booking tickets.
