The hotel is located just in front of the beach about 15 minutes walk from the old town and castle. The beach is very wide and extends for several Kms. The hotel has no parking but there is a covered public parking just opposite (50 meters away) at a daily rate of euro 25. On arrival we were given a voucher for a welcome cocktail, a surgical mask and a small bottle of sanitizing gel. The room was nicely decorated, well lit with many plugs conveniently located at the right height. Balcony with partial view of the sea and of the castle. Mini fridge and safe. Good quality bathroom amenities provided. The breakfast buffet was well presented with a good selection and a chef preparing the eggs on order. The employees at the reception were nice and helpful. Great prices offered during the low season, well worth a visit.

I booked a side sea view room had to lean over the balcony to see the sea. I thought it was quite pricey but I guess it is the time of year. Room quite small and bland. Nespresso machine and small fridge was a nice touch . We always take our own kettle. Bed bit uncomfortable. Shower hot but towels a bit on the small side! Unfortunately the rooms suffer with a persistent BZZZZZZ noise every few seconds, the receptionist said it was the humidifier, we tried two rooms and it was the same in both. It never stopped so made for a very unpleasant night.
I had booked the room direct but on check in no mention was made of the bar discount or the gift voucher. On check out the receptionist said the gift voucher was a bottle of water! we paid ā‚¬20 for 24 hour parking in the public car park over the road.

Castle was a short walk away and well worth a visit best to go first thing when cooler.

The beach was just over the road it got very busy later in the day. Plenty of shops and restaurants. We chose to eat the buffet lunch and dinner in the hotel. A fairly good spread but limited as usual for vegetarians. The food was not very hot at the evening service. Breakfast was good but lacking in salad stuff and the only hot veggie option of grilled tomatoes was placed next to the frankfurters!!! The roof terrace had great views but seats were too hard for comfort.

Pool looked nice but no time to try it out. Staff all friendly.

This hotel is front line and looks directly to the Castle. Parking is 10 euro per day very close by. The disabled facilities are almost perfect except for the need of a second grab rail in the disabled toilets and a fixed seat in the shower. Access to all areas is easy in the wheelchair and the staff are amazingly helpful and nice. The price for half board until 1/04/ 22 was 85 euro per night for half board. The breakfast was help yourself and was excellent the meals were menu del dias with a choice of 3 starters 3 mains and 2 sweets, all of which were superb. There are two spar baths that can be booked and paid for extra. Outside ia lovely pool area wit a spar pool and a normal pool. 10minutes steady walk to shops the castle and bars and restaurants etc.

Great, as always. New visit and hopefully not the last. Unbeatable location, in front of the beach and a step from the old town and bars, restaurants.....
It is a medium hotel (I think 48/50 rooms), very family friendly. Something that speaks highly of this establishment is that they continue their employees year after year at the foot of the canyon, giving exceptional treatment to their customers. Unbeatable points: already discussed, location and treatment.
Buffet not very extensive but of quality, with iron show cooking. Even sometimes pasta is cooked for you.
The pool is not very large, but enough to refresh you, I had no problems any day lying in the hammock, which in high occupancy dates is not easy in other hotels.
Right room, although the bathroom is a bit fair. With balcony. I usually reserve those that overlook the pool that have good side view to the village and the beach.
Improveable points: High prices in bar (although they give you a 10% discount for being housed) and sometimes the pool area is not well served.

Geographical location opposite the beach, 5 minutes walk from old Peniscola and next to the underground car park.
The best....
This hotel, in addition to being ideally located, offers high-end services in a warm atmosphere.
The all-you-can-eat buffet is varied and delicious

Great location , fabulous food but best of all are the staff. Jorge and Luis ( I think ) on reception were two of the most helpful and pleasant staff I have encountered in many a year. Plus all other staff members I had dealings with were of a very high standard. Called into your sister hotel ā€˜Don Carlosā€™ with a view to staying there later this year with extended family members and again I was greeted with a most pleasant lady on reception and on explaining my intentions she said she could show me the family rooms and suites. So impressed with this and my experiences in Porto Cristo Hotel I have booked four rooms for a week later this year for my family and I to celebrate an anniversary.Well done to all involved and continued success.

New visit and it continues to improve. Very comfortable and pleasant hotel. It has the ideal location in PeƱƭscola, a step away from the beach and close to the original town. And yet, it's quiet. The treatment is excellent from all its workers. Although the buffet is not very extensive, you have everything and of quality, half board is recommended. With a swimming pool, not very big but enough to cool off. They have modified the terrace and set up a restaurant, Porto Rico, which is quite good and they give you a discount if you consume while staying, although this somewhat affects the pool service, since the bar is a little further away from the swimming area. Correct room, although the toilet is small. I will continue visiting it, both for work and vacation, it is my reference hotel in this beautiful town. The director resolved a reservation question in my favor. Thank you and we will see each other again.

From August 28 to September 8 we were in room 114A. Good place to rest, a stone's throw from the beach and the castle, with a more than decent pool and an acceptable half-board service. Very friendly and attentive staff, cleanliness of the room of 10, and peace of mind at night to be able to sleep. Do you hit? A bathroom that needs urgent revision (especially the bathtub area), that the room faces the outside of a tiny corridor between two hotels and that the price of the nights corresponding to August is excessive. To come back? Yes of course

Very comfortable, clean and stylish hotel in a convenient position on the seafront. It has stunning views from the front rooms BUT loud music from their bar on the ground floor spoilt our stay. Such a shame as the breakfasts were wonderful too.

Very good location in front of the promenade and in front of the castle. The room with a terrace has a lateral view of the sea. The breakfast and the common areas do correspond to the category of the hotel, in my opinion the room is not at the same level, it is more like a mid-range three-star hotel. Very good staff attention.
