First you must realize this hotel is on the HistoricTrust Preservation list.Second we found the staff the best & very helpful. The lounge & bar has good drinks with appetizers that hit the spot. Those 6 seats at the bar have a view of 4th/Olive with the hustle of the city. The hotel is very quiet for the most part but you can't escape the sirens & noise of a city.We had a queen bed room which was small but clean.Pillows suckThe AC & air is stuffy so ask for there tall fans which helps circulate Good location close to light rail,Mariner store across street (sell tickets too),Yard House (great food & beers) nearby. Not the cheapest hotel but if you like older this is your thing.

brucer1, Thank you for taking the time to write a detailed review. Oliver's Lounge has been a Seattle staple for many years and we hope that continues on, we are glad you enjoyed it. We do offer range of different rooms including deluxe and suit style rooms, next time we would love to help you explore more room options so we can find the right on for you. We are also glad you found our location convenient, it is one of our biggest selling points, being right in the heart of downtown. Thank you again and we hope to see you soon! -Taylor England - Front Office Manager

Hotel's Favourite
Our recent experience was outstanding. Our 1st trip to Seattle. Stayed 3 days at 1st and 1 night before flying out. All the staff was helpful and gracious. Was happy to hear so many have worked there many years. Oliver's was a nice place to end the day, drinks and snacks delicious. Sometimes took snacks to go and we drank our own wine in room. They let us borrow glasses. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Loved the shampoo, body wash and lotions. Towels so nice I checked label so I could order for home.We were provided a breakfast box on Monday and Tuesday which was delicious and one day we ate in restaurant for breakfast and that too was a very pleasant experience. When I return to Seattle I see no reason to ever look anywhere else to stay...plus we were able to walk most places.

My sisters and I really enjoyed our stay here. We were traveling alone and felt totally safe and relaxed at the hotel. The room was clean and very quiet. I try to always stay in vintage hotels when I have the chance and would highly recommend this hotel and their staff. I hope to stay here again some day.

We enjoyed our stay at this vintage and somewhat worn hotel. Our queen suite equipped with a large living room and two full baths was very comfortable for me and my two almost adult sons. The beds were comfortable, the location was excellent. The only disappointing aspects of our stay were primarily the result of Covid restrictions and an unprecedented heat wave. Dining options in the hotel were extremely limited. The only restaurant open for dinner was in the bar, which meant that we had to order room service because my son is a minor. Housekeeping was available on request. We asked for it two days out of five. The first day was fine, but on the second day many items were overlooked including replenishing cups and toiletries. My sense was that hotel is still understaffed. I’m giving the hotel the benefit of the doubt due to Covid/heat wave. Otherwise, rating would be 3 stars instead of 4.

What a gem of a hotel! Seamless check-in with friendly staff. Valet parking was easy too. The room was clean, quiet and relaxing. One night I ordered room service, food was delicious, promptly delivered by a great staff member. For future triops it will always be the Mayflower for me.
