Aloha Jenna and a huge maholo for taking the time to write a review. Lynne, Dan and I are thrilled you enjoyed your time with us up at the Mango. Packing a sweater is a fantastic recommendation as at our altitude of just under 2000 feet, mornings can be a bit crisp. Thank you again and we would be honoured to welcome you back one day in the future. Mahalo, Linda

What a WONDERFUL Escape!!!
This place is close to the Kona airport, but you don’t hear the airport noise at all. Its up on the mountain side and its sooo beautiful! The B&B sits up above the coffee fields and you look out over the coffee tree tops! Its so peaceful here. You can choose to spend the day sitting and relaxing under the gazebo or in your lawn chair watching the beautiful sunsets every night! Its just a short drive to Kona shopping district and the beaches. Its only 1 ½ hrs drive to the other side of the Island so this is a perfect place to stay while exploring all the Big Island has to offer.
The B&B itself is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast every morning was large and delicious and many of the fruits and vegetables being served are grown on the farm. We got a tour of the coffee plantation and all the plants growing on the farm, including the cocoa and banana plants and we got to sample them too!
The owners, Linda and Dan are wonderful people and very knowledgeable about everything on the property and the Island. We really enjoyed talking to them.
We are so thrilled that we chose to stay here. We loved it and we highly recommend it to anyone coming to the Big Island of HI!

Aloha MOCricket! I just want to take a moment to thank you for your kind comments and support. The Mango Sunset BnB is located on our 8 acre Lyman Kona Coffee Farm and nature abounds. You stayed in one of our Ocean View rooms with views over the coffee fields to the ocean. It was so much fun exploring the farm and eats with you both. Thank you again and we hope to one day welcome you back! Mahalo, Linda and Dan

The Mango Sunset B&B was the favorite place we stayed on our 3 island vacation to Hawaii. So peaceful and with a beautiful sunset view from a 2000' elevation over Kona. Lynne was the ultimate host, and easily accommodated a gluten free dietary request. Lynne is so personable, welcoming and really made our stay special. Please note,
the Sunset Mango is under different owners and newly renovated as of Sept 2023 (so information preceding 9/23 is outdated). We stayed 3 nights and could have stayed for 3 months.

Aloha! Thank you so very much for taking a moment to post a review and to share your experience with the online travel community. Dan and I are delighted you not only enjoyed your stay, but had the privilege of meeting Lynne as well, she is a fabulous part of our team. The realization of the renovations, and the upcoming upgrades to the coffee mill have been a project of passion on our part and your kind words truly encourage us to forge ahead! It will take time before those reviews prior to COVID get to be low on the list, but thanks to your contributions it is another step in the right direction. A huge MAHALO for your support and we hope to one day have the honour of welcoming you back, mahalo, Dan and Linda

Best place we've stayed on the island and wish we had stayed all 4 nights since it is perfectly located to Kona, snorkeling, and the airport. Great value with delicious food and clean rooms that are hotel quality with the personalized service of a professional B&B. The view is amazing and it's so cool to wake up in a coffee farm in the clouds and drive to the sunny beach

I loved every minute that I had the pleasure of staying at Mango sunset. The room was clean, comfortable and fully stocked with everything I needed. The bed was cozy, and the quality of the everything was incredible. Lynne is the most beautiful host, inside and out. She is so helpful and kind! Oh my goodness her cooking is phenomenal!!!! WOOOOW! I will be dreaming about those banana pancakes forever haha. My mouth actually starts watering when I think about them. You can really tell she puts so much love, not only into the food but also her role at the facility. I would highly recommend visiting to everyone and anyone! 🙏 Mahalo 💚

This place made our trip and was a refugee from the crowds! All it took was one visit to the hotel strip in Kona to know that the Vegas vibe was not our preference, then we found this place. Lynn was the manager and she went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant, the food she prepared was amazing. The site is a farm so make sure you are into that, we had chickens on the patio, and an great view of a coffee crop. Do yourself a favor and get the Ocean View side and crack a beer during sunset. I hope this place is around when we visit Kona again. Thanks Lynn and Mango Sunset!

Aloha Matthew, Thanks so much for taking a moment to review your stay with us. We are thrilled you enjoyed our little piece of paradise and the Farm retreat. Indeed, we do have wild and beautiful birds of all sorts, including chickens. They are essential to keeping the coffee fields healthy, as they eat the bugs and fertilize. Occasionally they leave us some wonderful eggs as well, when we can find their nests. We ask that our clients do not feed them, so that they spend their time in the fields and not at the Bed and Breakfast, but they are very smart and they know that people often mean food! It was a pleasure having you with us and I am so happy you had the chance to meet Lynne. She is such a wonderful member of our team. Thank you again and we too hope to see you on your next trip out to Kona. Mahalo, Linda and Dan

This place was our introduction to Hawaii for our anniversary and WOW! It was amazing. Heidi, Dan, and Linda could not have been nicer and the breakfasts that they made were unbelievably good. I am not a breakfast person and in our real life, I don't actually eat half the stuff they used, but i gobbled up just about everything they made. The views were outstanding and the house cat was my best friend and she just made my stay just that much better.
If we are ever able to make it back this will be the first place I'll look to see if they have a room available. Thank you for making our anniversary trip fantastic!

Ok, the gate is not great, but everything else about this place is outstanding. Let’s start with the view: you’re on top of the world in a coffee farm with a view of th ocean. What’s not to love. The interior is smart, well designed and features are a bit swish but with a nod to the islands heritage and to the farms purpose. Best of all is Linda, who exudes warmth and aloha to all. She is an incredible hostess and makes this a definite serial visit when going to Big Island. A must stay!

Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the stunning views and the unique design of our space. I am very touched that our interactions helped make your stay that much more enjoyable....thank you John. We appreciate your feedback about the gate and are fully aware it is not ideal. We are still a work in progress, and the gate is indeed on our agenda once we get the mill up and operational in spring of 2025. We can’t wait to welcome you back for another visit to the Big Island! Thank you so much for your support. Wishing you all of the aloha in your travel adventures ahead! Mahalo, Linda and Dan
