We wanted a hotel that was near Custer State Park and near great dining. This hotel fit the bill perfectly! The hotel is well maintained and clean. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished. Our beds were comfy and we both had great sleep while here. The breakfast offering wasn't huge, but had good selections of hot and cold food. When we come back to Custer we will be staying here again.
This is a good spot for sure. Very clean and a comfortable bed.Easy check in and check out. A vet nice staff.Recommended for sure. I am a Choice Hotel member and not all are the same or does the staff really care at all.
My fiance & I stayed at comfort inn & suites in Custer SD Sept 10-13th, after getting home & realizing I forgot my 2 pillows I contacted the hotel to ship them back to me, I did not want the card on file charged as it was my fiance's & they were my pillows I gave the hotel my credit card information to charge my card (what she did with my CC info I have no idea, which is another issue) one week later on Sept 22nd my fiance get a notification of a 35$ charge on his account from comfort inn, I was shocked that's what it cost to ship 2 pillows & was angry the wrong card was charged. My fiance didnt have 35$ in his account (another reason I told them NOT to charge his card). So I contacted the hotel who agreed to a refund, the next day we get another shock to see ANOTHER 35$ charge on his account, after calling the hotel again the front desk clerk claimed "there is no way there is 2 charges" so I submit proof to the hotel email, I get a reply back showing the 1st 35$ charge authorization & a 35$ void amount, I repeatedly asked to speak with a manager & was told she wasnt there and still since this started I have not spoken to her once, today I was finally given her email & emailed her my picture of proof of the 2 different charges & how the account is now negative 68$, obviously they cant or wont help me clear this up so I dont get almost 100$ in overdraft fees. So dont forget anything or ask for a refund at this location unless you want your account charged more than once.…
I book directly with hotel. Room was clean, bedding and towels nice. Had refr and microwave. Conveniently located. I like Comfort Inns for the consistency. As I recall a breakfast variety was offered. (I did not have that) Long road trip and easy to book.
We got most of what we expected -- a clean, comfortable room, easy access to Custer State Park, and a minimally edible breakfast (yogurt, fruit and pastries to grab, although there is a waffle maker and eggs and bacon available). But our experience with the staff was not great until Nicole, the friendly person who ran the front desk after 4 pm, helped us. It started when we pulled in slightly after noon and asked if we could check in. We got a flat-out "no" from the desk clerk. No check-ins until 3 pm. I've traveled more than a bit, and there have been times when the room wasn't ready. But, I've never experienced a flat "no" before. Okay, maybe it's corporate policy, but if so, it's a crappy one. Because of COVID, the hotel is only doing full room cleaning/servicing if requested. We requested. First day, we come back at about 5 pm to an unserviced room. So, I went to the front desk, and met Nicole, who checked in the computer, and saw that I had been added to the list for room cleaning. She apologized and told me she would take care of it. The next day, we come back around 5 pm, and the room was not made up. So, I went down again. Nicole apologized, moved us to another room, and said she'd take care of it. Our new room was cleaned from then on. I don't know what is wrong with the system this hotel uses for assuring that rooms are cleaned, but it failed. I do know that Nicole is an asset, and they are lucky to have her. In fact, she should probably get a raise and some more responsibility, because she cut through the nonsense and took care of us. Hooray for Nicole!…
