Could not use front doors. Blocked off with yellow tape. The elevator didn't work. We were stuck between floors for about 20 minutes. The air conditioning on the elevator didn't work either. It was very hot. We pushed alarm button. No sound or any result at all. Tried the stairwell to the 6th floor. The stairwell was extremely hot. No way to get luggage cart to 6th floor without defective elevator. Large ragged hole in ceiling in stairwell. Desk clerk said there was no one to help with luggage. After much discussion, we were given an executive suite on the first floor. Door lock did not work. Finally an employee let us in. Ice machine located on third floor. Climbed stsirs. Ice machine didn't work. Desk clerk said another on 6th floor. We refused to try elevator or climb hot stairwell. No ice. Telephone in room didn't work because there wasn't one. Desk clerk said she would look into it. No information in room about anything. No info on services or local restaurants. There was a Bible which turned out to be the most reliable thing in this hotel. Large tv in room didn't work. While searching for remote a door fell off of one cabinet. Looked on line for nearby restaurants. Several reviews mentioned sketchy or even bad neighborhood.

I normally love Country Inn & Suites, but this one didn't live up to those expectations. Sure, it had a bookshelf of books to borrow and some cookies, but that was the only resemblance to its brand. Don't expect breakfast at this hotel. We came down on a Saturday before 9 am and no breakfast could be found. Upon questioning, the front desk stated that breakfast ended at 8 am, but that they actually ran out of food at 7:30. It was bagged prepackaged breakfast but still didn't have enough for all guests. Also, I have never been at a hotel that ends breakfast at 8 am on a weekend. All posted signs said breakfast runs until 10:30 on weekends and we were not told at check-in that it would be ending so unreasonably early. But even beyond the the missing breakfast was the attitude of the staff around it. The "I'm sorry" had no sincerity. Don't expect internet here, either. The wifi was completely useless! I could connect for 2-3 minutes before being cut off and spending 5 minutes trying to reconnect. I mentioned to the front desk the next day and she said she'd restart the router. Whether or not she did, the internet didn't improve and I later read other reviews that also mentioned this. The poor wifi is not a one-time thing that can be solved by restarting a router. It is a deeper issue and you should essentially expect no wifi. The room was awkwardly set up (and I later discovered it used to be a Knight's Inn so that's probably why), but I can live with that. But the room was worn out feeling. The carpet was sticky (yes, sticky, and my socks stuck to the tile floor afterwards). The curtains were falling down and didn't fully close so we were woken by the morning light. But even without the light, we would have been woken by the construction crews that started early and could be heard on the 7th floor.

Last minute, for work, I needed to find a room in NOLA (New Orleans, Louisiana). I found a very good deal on Priceline: good location, good amenities, very good value. so I booked a room at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, New Orleans I-10 East, LA. The room is very nice: comfortable, spacious and very clean. The staff is great: helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. But... I have not had worse wifi service at a hotel since 2003 –when wifi was just starting. If you need to travel to NOLA for work, and you find a deal as good as I did at this hotel, I hope you do not run into the same problem because it's impossible to work online with such a weak signal. Furthermore, my usually strong cell signal is very weak at the hotel. Too bad.

We arrived at about 2:30 am to an empty desk. We walked around spoke loudly trying to get someone for about 10 mins. Finally, my daughter yelled hello a couple of times and a sleeping lady comes out of a dark room to check us in. She did a good job of trying to wake up and cover up the fact she was sleeping. She was pleasant to us but when a man came in looking for a room she wasn't as nice to him and told him she was full. You could tell that wasn't true by the parking lot. She told us our room and said it was 2 double beds. I reserved a room with 2 queen beds, not double beds. I was told that's what they had. We were also told the pool is closed, breakfast is what's in a bag (grab & go) till 8:00 am, if we need anything from house cleaning we call the front desk and go and get it. We asked if there is onsite laundry, yes. We went to check it out. The tub is rusted and the ceiling is falling in the room. We went to our room and had to clean the bathroom because the desk clerk didn't answer (later to find out she went back to sleep) there were pubic hairs on the toilet seat and hairs in the tub. The fact in the bathroom sink has a little stream of water that comes out and it's hot water. Doesn't matter which way you move the handle it's hot water so we have to wash our hands and brush our teeth leaning over the tub, not convenient. We would have left but we couldn't find another hotel who would take us at 3 something in the morning.

I decided to stay here due to free parking and it not being so far from the French Quarter. When my boyfriend and I arrived at night we were welcomed, by some lady who was barefoot and seemed to be annoyed we were there. During our entire stay of 5 day's we though of going somewhere else, the bed was so hard and the room always felt so damp, it felt as if our clothing was always wet and it just felt horrible. Aside from that the price was good and parking was free which was our main concern, I just know I wouldn't stay here again. Next time we come out we'll pay for parking in the French Quarter as there are places that charge $15 dollars for the whole day. One of the other issues was internet, don't bother you will not get any wifi connection strong enough to browse the internet.
