Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Hotel is nice, conveniently located to everything in the French Quarter. If you want to go anywhere outside of that area, be prepared for a wait in traffic to get out. Close to great food and music!!!

Great location, friendly staff, and very reasonable. The room was spacious and comfortable. Nice small safe in the closet, mini fridge tucked away under the tv unit, and the ice bucket that we finally discovered as we were packing to leave. My only issue was trying to get a non

We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay! I apologize for the discombobulation with the feather pillows and the condition of the room that you stayed in. Rest assured, we are working diligently to make repairs and get everything back to par from the Mardi Gras festivities. Thank you for your kind words and we hope to see you again very soon!

The rooms can use some refreshing and some of the furniture has seen better days. The beds and sofa were comfortable. Disappointed that Hyatt members had to pay for water in the room where at other Hyatt properties one bottle per person upon arrival is included.

The Hyatt Centric is centrally located in the French Quarter and is in walking distance to fantastic restaurants, Bourbon Street, and other attractions. The hotel room and bathroom was very clean and my room overlooked the pool courtyard, which was nice. The hotel also has a

1. I asked for a standard room for one adult with the possibility of Bourbon St view. I ended up with a room with two beds and facing the courtyard. 2. Bathroom was dirty, specifically the toilet. 3. Morning of March 17 right before check out, hot water was not working for the

I would like to sincerely apologize for the cleanliness issues and disappointment that you experienced during your stay. We do our best to honor as many requests as possible, but sometimes we are not able to make things happen due to unforeseen circumstances or during high volume times. I'm sure that we can do better the next time that you're in New Orleans. We look forward to seeing you again!

Actually, it’s a ten minute walk from the hotel to the French Quarter. And if you use the exit on Canal Street, there’s a Red Line (Canal St. Line) streetcar stop half a block away, that will take you there.

I would think that it would be. Most of their balconies are -- however, you will be looking at or be near others who also have a balcony.

There are only a few balconies. Call them and request a room with one. If you go online to their site, they list the rooms with the balconies.

What kind of rooms are floor level and open up to the pool area? Are any of them king petite suites?
The pool area is pleasant enough and is on 2nd floor. Not sure what accommodations are available on ground floor suggest you give them a call.
