The Maison de la Luz is the best hotel I have ever stayed at, period. My partner and I booked a standard "King" room for a short 3-day trip to celebrate his birthday. I called in advance to ask them to put some champagne in the room, which they were happy to do. Hearing that we were "celebrating", the concierge upgraded us to the suite, which was truly a remarkable experience. They set the tone perfectly to begin our stay. I'll start with the room - the room itself was perfectly decorated with thoughtful touches throughout. The shower and tub were pristine and the water pressure was great. The bed was very comfortable and it was great to have the extra space with a table and couch. The room itself was extremely quiet and peaceful and smelled wonderful the entire stay - honestly not even sure how they did that. As for the service, everyone we spoke to and interacted with was so accommodating and friendly. Special shout out to Thomas and Gigi who always greeted us with a smiling face and worked overtime to make our stay comfortable and up to their standards. We had breakfast in the breakfast room (honestly so delicious) and also took advantage of the bar, which had a great vibe and very good drinks. A few final things. The location was excellent - not in the French Quarter (thank god...) but an easy walk. Easy walk to other key areas of the city and plenty of nice restaurants nearby. Street parking was super easy... may not want to bank on it, but we were street parked the entire time across the street from the hotel and didn't get a ticket. The gym and pool are in the Ace hotel next door. We didn't love the vibe of the pool, but the gym was perfect for what we needed. Again, the Maison de la Luz was so nice, we didn't even feel the need to hang by the pool. Overall, I really can't recommend this hotel enough. If you are trying to decide whether to splurge a bit and stay here over somewhere else... do it!

We were in New Orleans for Father's Day, and though we usually stay in the French Quarter, were drawn by the reviews for this hotel. We were delighted. It's beautiful and the rooms are will appointed, comfortable bed and the coffee delivered to the room in the morning was delicious. The breakfast was wonderful (not included in the room price, but worth it) and the drinks at the speakeasy bar were lovely. The staff could not have been more warm and welcoming. It was just about the best hotel experience we have ever had!

This is one of the best hotels at which I have ever stayed. Not only was the room large and luxurious, and the bar, lobby, restaurant, etc. top notch, but the staff made the stay extra special. We booked a trip for the purpose of exploring New Orleans with friends and having a good time - Maison de la Luz made that happen. Even before we arrived, Ryan (concierge) and his team emailed us lists of restaurants and music venues. When we arrived, Ryan took care of everything. Every day we checked in with Ryan or his team for recommendations on where to go and what to do. They are the best! We had contemplated staying at a larger big name luxury hotel that we knew well, but we decided to stay here for a more local experience - and we are so glad we did - Maison de la Luz was more luxurious, more attentive, and more special than any other hotel. Also, the location is ideal - nice neighborhood away from the noise and madness of the French Quarter, but a quick walk - so it was easy to go out and have a great time. We can’t recommend Maison de la Luz enough and look forward to returning. Thank you so much!

This is by far the nicest hotel in the New Orleans area, I would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a quality hotel that has a lot of amenities. My wife and I have stayed in a lot of hotels in NOLA and this one is our new favorite. The staff is super awesome and always willing to help. The food and drink options are great with many good options. We can't wait to go back there.

From check-in to check-out, the staff, rooms and amenities at this property were beyond our expectations. The photos on the web site do not do the hotel justice - such high quality and beautiful décor. The bed in our room was extremely comfortable and the bathroom incredibly well appointed. Rooms are quiet and feel like an escape from the city. The staff were super helpful while being discrete. The location - away from the craziness of the French Quarter, but close enough to walk - was perfect. I can't wait for our next stay.
