This majestic icon is perfectly located in Hot Springs National Park on beautiful Bathhouse Row. Since 1925 visitors have traveled to Hot Springs to stay, play and rejuvenate in the healing mineral waters of the natural thermal springs. Step back in time walking in the footsteps of such famous legends as Babe Ruth, Al Capone, Rudolph Valentino, Jack Dempsey, Lucky Luciano, Joe DiMaggio, Will Rogers, Johnny Cash, Marilyn Monroe and Presidents: John F. Kennedy, Theodore Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton. Feel the romance and charm of this culturally historic place. Experience a traditional bath at The Arlington Bathhouse or simply step outside to enjoy shopping, dining, and entertainment at the Ohio Club, the Pancake Shop, Gangster Museum, Superior Bathhouse Brewery or take a cupcake break at Fat Bottom Girls. If nature calls, hike or bike miles of scenic trails in our first National Park or try your luck digging for diamonds or playing the ponies or slots at Oaklawn Casino.

The hotel bathroom was so dirty. I paid extra for the mineral bath but it was so dirty I would not even get in the tub. They would not valet my car. I had to park on the top of spooky garage and carry all our bags to hotel. Also, the parking garage charged me 50 dollars for parking. This hotel is way overpriced. If you are going to charge extra for mineral water-make sure your bathroom is clean. The breakfast was good. I understand the hotel is old but it is long overdue for new drywall repairs, fixtures, tub and etc. I was so bummed to spend 300.00 and have such a horrible experience.

WE DID NOT EVEN STAY. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. We tried 2 rooms. Room was musty. Hair all over the dripping and cracked shower. Bed, carpet, and chair had stains. Smell of cigarettes. Paint chipping and ceiling chipping. Used coffee cup straws on the floor.

Nearly everything in the hotel was gross. Be prepared for disgusting pools, dusty beds, rude staff, and unknown charges to your account. The bar was alright, but it did not make up for the overall poor experience. Staff will run around the hotel at night loudly yelling to each other through their radios. It was an all around tough stay.

I knew the hotel was one hundred years old, and I knew it was under renovation so my expectations were tempered before I arrived. Even still, my experience was not great. This is a very cool, historic hotel, but I left my stay feeling underwhelmed. There are several things about the hotel you find out after you have arrived or upon check out. For example, when I arrived both the valet ($30/day) and the self-park garage ($22/day) located one block away were full. Instead of parking at the self-park lot ($8/day) which was three blocks away, I found a free independent lot and parked there. When I pulled into the hotel, the valet staff were very flustered, did not even offer to take and hold my bags while I parked, and simply told me there was insufficient room for cars and I need to take my car and park somewhere else (leaving me to carry my own bags two blocks from my car). Another thing I was not told was that you have to request hospitality services at the front desk. I was very disappointed when I returned after a long day of hiking and exploring the town to find my bed had not been made up and fresh towels had not been delivered. (Also, a mildewy/antiquey smell develops in the room if housekeeping has not freshened it up; it is one hundred years old after all). And of course, by the time I asked for housekeeping it was too late in the day for me to receive it. Finally, the hotel does not make clear to guests that there are several added fees. Expect check out to take a long time because - at least in my experience - there is a long line of guests waiting to dispute the 2.5% credit card processing, $15/day "resort fee," and other unexpected costs that can drastically increase one's bill. Were I planning my trip again, I would stay here one night for the "coolness factor" because it is a very neat hotel, but ultimately, I would spent the rest of my time at a different hotel.

not a highly polished plastic, overly-priced, cookie-cutter box. go to a holiday inn for that. charm and essence of another era that time and technology have passed by surround you at the Arlington. the bathhouse is awesome. almost everything was great during our stay, including breakfast, except for not having soap in the room, despite requesting it twice at the front desk! will stay longer next time and hope i don't have to bring my own soap!

I have listed below the pros and cons of this hotel: Cons 1. Temperature in the room is so unbearably hot! You cannot take control of the thermostat. There is even a card in the room that advises you to just turn-off the A/C. 2. The food in-house is average and expensive. 3. Parking is also expensive $30/day for a valet and $20/day for self service. 4. Amenities are limited. Pros 1. The staffs are approachable and courteous especially the ones running the spa. Although the hotel is lacking in a lot of ways that will make your stay pleasurable, it is the people that runs the daily operation of the facility that makes your stay worthwhile.

Only hotel I have ever stayed at where you can’t leave your room with a beer unless you BUY it from them. The rooms are absolutely awful which makes it even worse. I was told at 9pm on Saturday night I could leave if I didn’t like the rules. I will never stay at the hotel again due to the state of the rooms, the lack of cleanliness and the control of where I can drink a beer in a hotel that I am l paying good money to stay at. Horrible management and ownership. Hotel settles in big spring tx is a 1920s hotel and is as clean as can be while maintaining the historical significance. Maybe the Arlington owners should hire their management.

My wife and i have been going to the Arlington for 30+ years. What a great old hotel. Just booked rooms for a trip in May with some friends. Kristy (Christie?) at the front desk was very helpful in making reservations and Melissa in the Spa was a great help in making spa reservations for my wife and her friend.

We reserved a king but were downgraded to a queen bed that sagged in the middle so the hubby and I rolled into each other. The window was taped where it was cracked, the balcony door/window had a huge gap and they were screwed shut. The sink was coming away from the wall, so you had to be cateful touching it. They were remodeling in the room next to us using a sander and hammer drill so forget taking a nap if you enjoyed the incredible nightlife of Hot Springs. The positives though is the incredible architecture of the building, the history and the PEOPLE! Both employees and guests were so kind!

Beautiful Grand Hotel! Needs updating, but that's the charm. Great location.Definitely haunted, but only with friendly ghosts. It appeared that they were training a lot of new staff, so I guess that means business is picking up. Most of the staff was friendly, but the bartenders could use a lesson in hospitality. In with the new guard and out with the old!
