m anager is rude hotel room was not as advertised ants everywhere found a roach no table and chairs just a desk one chair no paper/pen/visitor guide thin towels no robes nght clerk and day clerk were kind inhouse bar/resteraunt was good just not open until 4pm and closed 3 days a week
I had rented 2 rooms and at check in they could only find one, but they had more available so I didn’t think it was a problem. Well I ended up getting charged for the 2 rooms I initially reserved plus the room I rented when I got there so 3 charges. The hotel says it’s hotels.coms fault and hotels.com says it’s the hotels fault. Either way I never got a refund from either making me pay twice for the same room. And that’s not to mention the nasty lake area, our door wouldn’t lock and we couldn’t get anyone to fix it. We had to go to dinner and shopping with our door unlocked hoping no one would go in. The bathtub was so slow draining, ants in the room by the window and the ice machines only worked on the 4th floor. Would not ever stay there again!
The wife and I are now empty nesters. We decided to head to Hot Springs for a little getaway. Upon arrival I was greeted by three people and that were all very helpful. Received a discounted price room, with the room having a great view of the lake. I was impressed with most of the stay. Looking forward to staying here again.
Quiet, clean, wonderful staff, right on the water on Hamilton Lake. Ask for a water view room! Outside sitting area on the edge of water was relaxing. In an area where cell phone reception is spotty for texts and calls (T Mobile), but their wifi was adequate/fast.
This hotel is such a great venue and yes, it was closed for a while due to the death of the previous owner. It is now in great local hands, businessman who owns several other things in town and has done a great remodel. We were there in Dec 2019 and they were finishing the lobby. It is so great having this hotel back. The lake view rooms are just awesome. There's a patio to sit out by the water, and a little dock / walkway around the little cove. Nice little breakfast - nothing to write home about but adequate. This is by far my favorite Hot Springs hotel, just for the views. I'm so glad it is back in good hands and open again! My only suggestion would be some new desk chairs. I always need to use the desk and the chair we had was beyond its years. Other than that very small thing, A++…
