Hello, Nirjhara is a pretty unique place where you'll find the authenticity of old Bali without having to go too far north or east. It feels like it's in the middle of nowhere but it isn't really. It's located in the quaint little village of Kedungu, about 20-25mins away from Canggu (Batu Bolong and Pererenan). The hotel has a dozen bikes available for guests on a complimentary basis and there are plenty of nice routes to explore (north to Pigstone beach, and south towards Tanah Lot temple, which is about 7-10mins away). The hotel has an activity schedule with complimentary yoga sessions and guide bike rides, though you can also borrow a bike at any time and venture out. Several half day excursions can be booked to explore the province of Tabanan, one of them takes you to Nungnung waterfall, one of the most stunning on the island. If you prefer setting your own itinerary, you can also hire a hotel car (for more comfort) or a local driver. If you don't feel like going on a longer journey, you can also surf or take surfing lessons on Kedungu beach, enjoy a sunset ride on horseback through the rice fields and on the beach, or go for a run in the village and on the beach. Kedungu is quite peaceful by Balinese standards, and rather untouched by mass tourism. Regarding dining options, I'd recommend Little Ripper on the way to Kedungu Beach (2mins on a bike) for breakfast and lunch. It's a cute family-owned café with surfer vibes and amazing coffee. Otherwise there are some plenty of great options in Pererenan, which is 20mins away and you won't have any traffic going there and back (the traffic mainly centers around the Berawa intersection in Canggu, but you won't have to go there).
