The tents were very luxurious and clean. The staff was so attentive and so friendly. First and only time we had a female on the staff and we loved having her. We were glad to see opportunities extended to females in a place dominated by men. There was solar powered electricity, running water( even though we had to use bottled water for brushing teeth). Showers and bathrooms are in each tent, showers have buckets outside tent that get filled up with hot water on request. There is a pull string inside tent that lets the water come out. Pretty decent water pressure. Wifi is non existent in the individual tents, but decent in the main tent. There was turndown service every night, fresh water in thermoses placed every day and a small gift on arrival. Beds were king size, with a nice firm mattress. Meals were continental food, on arrival they asked for preferences or allergies. There was a small bar for alcohol purchases. The only suggestion I would make is for the staff to have some salty snacks, (example peanuts, popcorn, chips) around 5-6pm since dinner starts at 7:30pm. Otherwise service and the whole place was great.

We spent two nights and two days here during our safari trip. The hotel came recommended by the traveling agency we booked it with, and we were very please during the entire stay!
The tent we stayed at had two bedrooms, two bathrooms (each with a shower, toilet and double sink), and a nice common area with comfortable chairs. Outside also had some rocking chairs, very enjoyable to rest during the day!
The food was always very tastey and beautifully presented. Vegetarian options were available without issue. The lunch packages we recieved for the safari day was also very good, and always more than enough.
The staff was very friendly. They kept the tentrooms extremely tidy, and were always ready and helpfull for any questions and requests.
Overall amazing experience, we recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at Nyikani Tented Camp (formerly known asKichuguu) to kickoff our Safari. Charming tents that are very beautifully decorated. While everything is in short walking distance, the tents offer a tremendour amount of privacy. It goes without saying that everything was very clean. Staff - lead by yhe very professional camp manager Charles - is very attentive and charming. We can higlhy recommend this to anyone looming for a quiet place to stay with a fantastic value for money.

Our first nights in a bush camp!!! Bed was comfortable; sinks were large enough to wash out underwear. Safe water provided for drinking. Staff was courteous, friendly, welcoming and attentive to our every need. Wifi was available. Location was in south end of Tarangire Park, so not very crowded with great access to wildlife. We enjoyed sundowners at the nightly “bush” TV (a campfire) before delicious dinners. The camp ensured that our dietary concerns (gluten-free due to Celiac disease and a sensitivity to onions and garlic) were handled efficiently. Food was amazing; I am still in awe of what culinary delights can be created in the bush! Breakfast included eggs made-to-order. Lunches on safari were not boxed, but a scrumptious feast. Bucket showers were a challenge, but we became quite adept at them! We were sorry to leave.

Similar to it’s sister camp in the Serengeti except that it is a stationary camp and does not move, it is a wonderful place to stay. I was with my adult daughter and niece. The staff are friendly and very attentive and the tents are very comfortable. Experience having a shower with pre-filled buckets of hot water that you tilt to open to let the water out. You are provided with shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and lotions which are all lovely. We came near the end of the season so it was quieter than normal. It is a beautiful spot to experience the natural surroundings of Africa…including the chatter of animals at night! Full time security keeps you safe and all the animals want is the grass or leaves that surround the camp. A MUST stay if you going to Tanzania.

We stayed here on our thirds night on safari in Tanzania after a full day in Tarangire national park. The park itself was fantastic and the camp very welcoming when we arrived exhausted at the end of the day.

Check in was easy with some welcoming drinks and snacks before we made our way to our tents (we had a double and a triple (family of five). The kids were incredibly nervous about camping in the park surrounded by animals and it didn't help that our tents were the last two on the edge of the camp, a good five minute walk from the main eating/gathering areas.

The tents themselves though were very nice. Spacious, well furnished and actually the best beds and pillows we had at any lodge/camp in Tanzania. The bathrooms were also very good (for a tent) and the safari shower (a warm bucket of water!) quite fun.

The food was very good in the evening, the breakfast had an excellent choice (including vegetarian) and the packed lunch about average the next day.

All in all a great experience and nice location but with kids in tow i'm glad we only spent one night on our safari in a tent as they were nervous of the animals - which you can see and here all around you at night.

This tented camp is in the national park of Tarangire. The tents are tastefully decorated and are not missing anything. You can see the sunrise out of your bed ( if you leave the blinds open)
Hot shower: not a problem!. The staff will heat up the water and fill the bucket. Never had a bucket shower before and am amazed how well it worked.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The intern Walter was especially cute, as he was so shy in explaining everything. But he managed well. ;-)

we stayed at the camp for 3 nights and it was fantastic! the staff was so friendly, knowledgable and helpful. The tents are great with flushing toilets, extremely clean, hot water for a shower, and delicious food. The grounds itself are in the middle of the national park so you can hear and see the wildlife all around you (our group saw 2 male lions one morning! it was incredible).

A welcome oasis after a long but exciting day on safari. Tent accommodations were spotless and comfortable. Each room has its own bathroom and wash area. Optional pull- chain showers are available with staff assistance. Food is simple, but delicious. Staff readily accommodate dietary restrictions, a quiet and peaceful place to enjoy the sounds of nature.

Such a gem in the incredible Tarangere National Park. The staff were exceptional in their service. The lodge felt extremely luxurious while maintaining the authenticity of a safari trip in the bush. The catering was fantastic, catering to my lactose intolerance without any problems. They were very good at ensuring plenty of safe drinking water was available in the rooms, with beautiful touches for us everytime we returned to the room. It was our first destination upon arriving in Tanzania for safari and set the bar very high!! Will be recommending to all of my friends and family.
