If I could give this place a ZERO out of ten I would!!!! The staff is an absolute nightmare. I have heard multiple staff talk terribly to the house keepers. While they are working the higher ups are out smoking!!! I've first hand seen an employee by the name of Jaz tell an employee she could not step out to get air. How is that possible? Or right? I will definitely be getting in touch with corporate!!!! So upset. Will not be staying here again!!!

Hotel's Favourite
I felt like a queen. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. It was refreshing. In a time where it's common to receive a dirty look or a roll of the eyes for simply asking a question, here they roll out the red carpet. Three cheers for Jan, the assistant Manager and the swing shift front desk clerk.

We have stayed at other hotels in or near Vancouver, Wa., but many of them fall short; the rooms are not clean, or not updated, or not in a good location. I was very surprised when I found My Place Hotel online , and they allowed dogs! This hotel was not quite a year old, and friendly, and one of the cleanest hotels we've ever stayed in, which have been quite a few! Don't expect alot of frills, but they do have small kitchens with microwave, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, sink. Comfortable bed & pillows, and a nice soft comfy blanket as their throw. The bathroom did not have double sinks, but a huge lighted up mirror, also a shower in the tub. It has a small store by the check in desk to purchase drinks and snacks, and breakfast is not included but they have a small breakfast menu for an inexpensive fee, and I believe they can deliver that to your room. The location was outstanding, a shopping mall is right across the parking lots, and there are probably at least 10 restaurants very close by. And it's also right near the freeway, but your blocks away, so there is no freeway noise. We have found our ideal stop in Vancouver, Wa., and have every intention of returning there to visit. I can't recommend this hotel enough!

I gave this 5* just because it is a great place with good environment and friendly staff! I stayed here back in April and prices were cheaper but I've noticed they boosted them up probably due to the summer. Back when I stayed in April they weren't doing deposits and now it's become mandatory which is unfortunate. When you're homeless and looking to save cash paying a extra 100 on top of what you're paying just doesn't cut it. If they quit making despoits mandatory like originally I would return again!

Stayed 7 nights in room 324. What we liked: quiet location. Generally neighbors were considerate and did not slam doors or talk loudly in halls. Non smoking hotel. Upon arrival room was clean and had sufficient space. Kitchenette had refrigerator, coffee maker, cooktop, sink with dishwashing soap. Initially provided with towels adequate for two or three days (but not enough washcloths). Location was nearby restaurants and freeway. AC worked well usually and thankfully wasn’t too loud. Free parking. What we did not like: We needed change of towels by third day mostly because we only received two washcloths. We pulled in the door hanger to indicate service needed, piled all used towels on floor, put our items away, but housekeeping did not service room. When we came back to room that evening I called front desk. I was told (pleasantly) that service was only provided on the fourth day (yet website says daily service is available), but she stated service for sure would happen on the next day. I explained we need towels for that night and she said we can come down and get more, which we did. The next day we “readied” the room again (put our luggage and toiletries away) but again when we got back that night NO SERVICE. At this point, trash was getting quite full and we needed bath towels. Instead of going through the effort again, we gave up and never got any housekeeping during our 7 day stay. Kitchenette: no utensils, dishes or cookware. No stopper for sink. What’s the point? So we made a trip to dollar tree to buy a few essentials including dishcloth and dish towels, bowels, spoons, etc (at a fraction of cost if purchased at the hotel). No dinette table or bar or chairs to which sit and eat (we ate in bed). What was provided was one office task chair and a large recliner (did not use). The main room light switch operates all lights except the one night stand light. The main light switch does not have a dimmer. We found the light too glaring when sitting in bed. The other side of the bed does not have its own light. The blinds were difficult to operate (needs repair?). Bed was adequate but not that comfortable. I woke up several times needing to reposition. Husband complained it wasn’t comfortable. I would have preferred a king sized memory foam type mattress. Other travelers with dogs let their dogs do their business in the rocks near the hotel’s side entrance and did not pick it up. One pet owner we saw did not even pretend to care as her dog did its business and then walked away apparently assuming it’s the hotel staff’s job to pick up after her dog! There are several piles on that side. Disgusting. Maybe a dog baggie dispenser is needed? Parking: Large trucks with trailers took up multiple spots. They also unhooked and left the trailers. On weekend the lot was full. We had to park near the dental office. We assumed that was ok because none of the spots were designated. Major complaint was lack of housekeeping. I’ve never not received housekeeping when asked for it. This was our first time staying at a “My Place” hotel and most likely the last.
