Convenient location in a beautiful and quiet wooded setting. The room was clean and very comfortable. An excellent full, cooked breakfast was offered daily, different items each day, home baked muffins and scones. Gracious host. We would stay here again.

Harry is a wonderful host, the property is really well maintained, the breakfast (cooked by Harry) is delicious, and the location is easy to find but feels very rustic. It literally is "in the woods". Great place to stay when doing tourism in the Hudson Valley!

Inn the Woods is a perfect name for this B&B. Peaceful and secluded but only minutes from the main road in Hyde Park which takes you to all the local attractions. We stayed in the Treetop Suite which was spacious, immaculate, and well-equipped. Just a word of warning - choose the downstairs room if you might have difficulty navigating the outside wooden staircase which leads to the suite. Harry was a very gracious host without being intrusive. And the breakfast he prepared for us was amazing. The food was delicious and beautifully presented in a lovely dining room with large windows allowing a view of the trees and many birds feasting at the bird feeders. He also accommodated my husband's need for gluten-free food. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Harry.

When we travel we prefer Bed & Breakfasts over hotels and we were SO lucky to stay at Inn the Woods this past Friday. We had the Tree Tops Suite and it was a beautiful home away from home.

We had a full suite with a couch, lounge chair and table with chairs. The king sized bed was so comfortable and we slept so soundly that night. There were floor to ceiling windows overlooking beautiful scenery. Every detail was included. There were robes in the bathroom, special towels if you use make up, a refrigerator with water, a selection of coffee, tea and hot chocolate. There were even games!

The next morning Harry our host served a delicious breakfast of fruit salad, a scone and an omelet with herbed cheese. And he makes his own special blend of coffee which was delicious. He also gave restaurant recommendations for that night and definitely steered us in the right direction.

If you are looking for a cozy place to stay with great atmosphere Inn the Woods is your place. Thanks Harry!

If you want a special stay in Hyde Park, this the place for you! I picked this place because it was close to everything we wanted to see and off the beaten path. We were 2 couples traveling on Motorcycles and the country location made it feel very safe for the bikes and of course who does not love breakfast included. Of course this was no ordinary hotel breakfast, this a beautiful homemade gourmet breakfast, with local ingredients served on china. My husband and I stayed in the Tree Top Suite, so cute , loved having the kitchenette and the ability to make real coffee before we went down for breakfast. It was very spacious, would be very comfortable there for an extended stay. The bed was as comfortable as home. We loved the deck in the evening to hangout with our friends and talk about our day. Harry was a wonderful host and definitely stay here again!

This inn really is in the woods! A convenient and great place to stay; I was at a retreat at the Omega institute 20 minutes away. The owners were very thoughtful in their setting up of the rooms; there was access to everything usually available in a top notch hotel! My double room was well equipped, including a mini fridge, water, and the bed was comfortable.
Breakfast was good and delightfully served by the host who described the ingredients!

(FYI print your maps if you’re traveling in the area as my gps signal dropped a lot! )

We had a truly blessed stay at the Inn In The Woods. We were celebrating my dear Wife’s 76th B-Day. The 2nd floor room was spacious beyond belief, with walls of windows on 3 sides looking directly out into the surrounding wooded spaces. Serene and quiet. We stayed 3 nights which afforded us 3 creative and very sumptuous breakfasts. Our hosts, Valerie and Harrison are delightful folks, whose company we warmly enjoyed. And of course the location is perfect for exploring all that the Hudson Valley is known for, including antiquing, historic mansions, performing art centers, vineyards, the CIA and so much more. The good Lord willing we will return. Make a reservation, you will be very happy that you did!!! God Bless

We had a lovely stay. The host was incredibly responsive. It was a spacious room with a comfortable bed. The view from the room has you feeling like you are in the tree tops. The breakfast was delicious. While eating we had the most wonderful view, out of the glorious floor-to-ceiling windows, of the birds at the birdfeeders: cardinals, striated woodpeckers, and more. The location is minutes from the Vanderbilt Estate, the FDR Library and home, and the Culinary Institute of America. Plus, it is an easy drive to Rhinebeck and other adventures. We hope to stay there again.

Went to Inn the Woods with my Fiancée to stay in the Tree Top Suite. The room was large and lovely and filled with pretty much everything we wanted, with a nice TV, comfy king sized bed, and lots of windows to check out the nature outdoors. And when it snowed overnight our first night we woke up surrounded by a winter wonderland from the comfort of a heated room.

The host was extremely nice and his breakfast meals were really good and we were so comfy that we were tempted to just be lazy and stay in even though we had things planned to do elsewhere. All in all, a Definite Recommend.

The Inn was really in the woods! We were just minutes from the center of the town and the highway which took us to all the places we wanted to go in minutes. The Culinary Institute, the walkway over the Hudson, the Roosevelt library and other historical sites. It was near hiking trails but unfortunately the weather prevented us from hiking. The place itself is spotless and very well equipped with anything you would need for a comfortable stay. There's a little kitchen area with coffee pot, tea pot, microwave, dishes, etc. The bathroom was very nice, the bed was comfy, and there's a couch and a table to sit at. There are large windows and we were on the second floor and felt like we were in a treehouse. There's a balcony you can sit on. Harry made a wonderful breakfast with a bowl of berries, fresh muffin and a scone, an omelet, toast, and a roasted tomato as well as coffee and juice. Harry was very helpful and concerned for our comfort. We would definitely stay there again if we ever return to that area.
