Best B&B in Gettysburg! Staff is always helpful and polite, they even allowed me to park my camper in the lot during our stay so we were free to go explore. The only rooms we have stayed in are Annas Garden and Houghtelins, and we stayed in both this trip. Both rooms are a new addition on back, with large bathrooms, walk in showers and huge soaker tubs. These rooms are always quiet and have easy access as they both have a private entry on the back. There was a wedding sunday and we did not feel put out at all, congrats to the bride and groom whoever you are! Breakfast was delicious as always! You have the option of eating in your room, outside, or in the solarium due to covid things are a bit different. We enjoy all the friendly cats that roam the property and the beautiful horses as well. Cannot wait to come back again!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite for our elopement. The B&B and property are beautiful and they went above and beyond to make our stay and wedding absolutely perfect. Breakfast was incredible on each day we were there and the cookies they provide in the evening were absolutely delicious. This is a beautiful venue for a wedding ceremony and for a getaway. Family and animal friendly as well. I recommend the March-Wolff Suite for families with little ones as there is nobody below and it is on the 1st floor so easy to lug in bags. There is a mini fridge and tv in the room. The bathroom is large and modern and shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers are in showers. The historians that come in for breakfast are great as well and they have toys on site. Lots of cats on the property and they are friendly.

Conveniently located on the actual Battlefield and handy to downtown and the National Battlefield visitor center. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful and the rooms were large, beds comfortable and everything squeaky clean. The B&B is a bit of a museum unto itself and they have an historian that comes in some mornings to give a talk. Overall it was one of our best experiences for overnight lodging. We stayed two nights. We will ge staying again in the near future.
They usually serve breakfast at 9:00 AM. We were told that we could get a good hot chef's choice breakfast (which is usually whichever entree on the menu that day that has the shorter cooking time) by request from 8-9am. There is also a "To Go" breakfast option is for those requesting meals before 8am for those of us who want to go out exploring early. The 9:00 AM breakfast is most excellent!

You are absolutely right about the breakfast! Good observation. Some of our entrees really need extra prep time and just can't be created for early breakfast. But we also have choices that we can make for our early guests. Thanks for staying with us!

My hubby and I stayed at the Battlefield B&B from 6/12 through 6/17 in The Tack Room which is such an amazing room. The online pics don't do it justice. It's absolutely beautiful. The Gettysburg area had just gone green with the COVID-19 phases. They did everything they could to make us comfortable while following CDC guidelines for social distancing. We were able to have breakfast in our room, which was really nice and the food was out of this world, every day. They left us cookies on the outside table that were covered with a plastic cake cover so nothing would happen to them. They made sure we had everything we needed, towels, coffee, etc. I can't stress more just what a wonderful and restful stay we had. We will definitely be coming back.

Wonderful B&B on the edge of the Gettysburg Battlefield. We wanted to take our dog along on the trip and found this dog friendly B&B. Great breakfast with morning 1-hr Civil War talks and presentations from various local historians dressed in period dress. Grounds were great for dog walks on site with various trails.
Visit during time of Covid, staff wore masks along with guests in public areas, had hand sanitizer avaiable and took precautions for guest services.

A great experience from making telephone reservations to check out! I made the reservations on the phone in order to get advice about which accommodation would be best for our somewhat people-shy Border Collie. The lady I spoke with suggested the Anna's Garden room, with direct access to the outdoors, and it was perfect for us. We stayed for two days with our children, grandchildren, our dog and three granddogs, reserving Swan Cottage and Anna's Garden. Swan Cottage is perfect for for up to six people, with a small kitchen and two full baths. My husband and I stayed in Anna's Garden; it is a beautiful large room, with a large bath (including large tub and separate rainfall shower!) I know of few other places not only allowing, but actually welcoming, multiple dogs AND dogs of all sizes. Our dogs are family, and this was very important to us. The food was wonderful, and the cookies left in the rooms each day was an especially welcoming gesture. I have GOT to get the recipe for those butter almond cookies...The next time we are in Gettysburg we will stay at Battlefield B&B again. Friendly staff, pups welcome, great breakfasts served in the rooms or outdoors, reasonable prices and an interesting historic location. What's not to love? Wish we could have stayed longer!

My husband and I recently drove from North Carolina to Rhode Island and spent a night in Gettysburg on the way up. We chose the Battlefield Bed &Breakfast Inn mainly because of reviews I had read. We were not disappointed - both the Inn and its grounds are lovely. Our room was great with thoughtful amenities, and we had a wonderful breakfast while being entertained by Mike who gave us a really interesting Civil War talk. We were impressed with all the Covid precautions being taken by the Inn and appreciated being able to relax and feel safe. The Battlefield Bed & Breakfast Inn is a great place to stay in Gettysburg and I love the fact that they are so welcoming to dogs!

You couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Gettysburg. The historic farmhouse is meticulously maintained and is situated on acres of land with many walking trails. The breakfasts are massive and delicious, topped off by the daily historical chats with area Civil War experts. The talks really set us up for a more informed trip to the battlefield itself. I can't wait to come back!

This month of August 2020 I had the pleasure of staying at Battlefield Bed and Breakfast on Emmetsburg Road in Gettysburg.
My puppy Ali and I stayed in one of the many uniquely decorated rooms. Each day homemade cookies were placed on the table in my room! yum!

The historic Farm house is decorated in period antique furniture, pictures and decore. Books, maps and Battlefield relics are available for viewing.
There is a wrap-around porch with tables to enjoy breakfast or tea and an afternoon snack.

Each morning after breakfast,a history lesson was given by a person in civil war attire. Very informative.

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious!
if you had dietary restrictions, which they asked about during check-in,they made every effort to follow those requests.

Coffee, decaf and regular, tea and hot cocoa are available all day in the community room.
It is a keruig machine and there is a nice selection of coffees from light roast to dark. non-dairy creamer, sugar and honey are on the side board.

Outside the grounds are well kept and plenty of area to walk around. Some trails lead into the woods that surround a pond
Plenty of small quiet seating areas are available to enjoy the outdoors.

The historic Battlefields are 10 minutes from the Battlefield b&b. Plenty of shopping, eaterys and sites to see. Downtown is 15 minutes away but a congested area for parking.

I will stay at Battlefield Bed and Breakfast the next time I am in Gettysburg.
The owners and staff are very kind and accommodating. And they are dog friendly!!

When we arrived, we were greeted by JD. He gave us a history of this lovely home. JD went over the many, many amenities, then took us to our room. Our room was a garden room. It had a separate outdoor entrance as well as indoor. So with Covid fears, we felt so safe. The room was enormous and beautifully appointed. The furnishings were exquisite. The inn and its surrounding are indescribably beautiful.
It is historic in itself.
The bathroom was as large as a bowling alley with a huge shower and an additional soaking tub. It had a double sink vanity as well as a separate dressing table. The towels were oversized an fluffy. Tje inn supplied delightful toiletries including beautifully scented soaps and hand lotion.
The room had 2 televisions.
Onto breakfast: They had a huge assortment of coffees and teas all day and in the room. Our breakfast was a lovely presentation of a muffin, heavenly potaoes, kielbasa, a western omelet and fresh fruit ond day and fluffy waffles, fresh whipped cream, maple syrup, bacon, baked apple, fruit and potatoes. I must be gluten free and a equally delicious breakfast was made for me. Each morning they provided a charismatic historian to speak for an hour about different aspevts of the Gettysburg Battle.
What a 5 star experience!!

No restaurants within walking distance, but a 10 minute car ride gets you to lots of choices. Try the Dobbin House, and eat in the tavern downstairs. Very unique.
