Not what we have come to expect with Hilton Garden Inn. The front desk staff was less than friendly. The room smelled a bit musty and wasn't as clean as it should be. Found a toothbrush under the bed and a wash cloth left hanging over the shower. After our first night, we noticed the room across the hall had a towel stuffed under the door. Have to assume it was being fumigated, which doesn't send a very good message. We chose to have dinner in the restaurant on our first night. The gal who provided service was super sweet but not at all knowledgeable about drink and food menu. The menu didn't have much variety which was disappointing. We had breakfast the last morning which was fine. Overall, this was a disappointing visit. Will look for another place next time we are in town.

Hotel's Favourite
I visit Gettysburg 3x per year and always stay at the Garden Inn. Traffic is starting to get heavy on York Road, but you cannot beat the location. The breakfast is not free, but the food is great and the service excellent. I wish they started at 6am on the weekends however, as it starts at 7pm, a little late for us wishing to hit the road. The Giant Supermarket is 100 yards away too. And there is a Jersey Mikes next to the Giant. The room was quiet and no shenanigans from patrons after 9pm. The exercise room is adequate and opens at 5am. I had to leave early and was not charged the 4th day, which is honorable on their part. I will continue to stay at this fine hotel and not go downtown to the Square or near the battlefield.

The hotel was very clean, well decorated and the staff was very pleasant. We used the Hilton app to check in & out , it also gave us access to the Digital Key. We didn’t need to even interact with the staff but we did because they were extremely friendly. A few miles from the center of town and definitely not within walking distance. We never had trouble finding parking in town. We did however have trouble getting a Lyft ride back got the hotel. There are really no good restaurants for breakfast, we tried the hotels breakfast and found it to be okay. Next time we’re going to walk to the Giant which is directly behind the hotel, grab some muffins and coffee and call it a breakfast.

My friend and I stayed for the weekend and it was excellent. The hotel is spotless, front desk was courteous. We were tired from running around all day and it wasn’t check in time yet. I have severe arthritis and asked if we could just hang out in the lobby/ relaxation area. She said sure the fireplace is on, relax and we will let you know when your room is ready. Even though we had to pay 25 dollars to check in two hours earlier I gladly paid it. It was nice to get settled. The room was spotless, the beds were so comfortable we were very pleased. We utilized the hot tub and had breakfast in the dining room in the morning. The food is delicious. They have a beautiful snack and gift area. You can buy anything from microwave foods to souvenirs, candies, wine, beer, cigars, pet food, coffee. The selection is amazing. Last night we topped off our stay with diner downstairs. I got the cheeseburger and fries. My friend had the salmon dinner. That cheeseburger was the best I have had in a long time and the fries were perfect. My friend loved her salmon too. The service, food, staff and facilities are impeccable. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back! Elizabeth Gabriel

I do not have enough wonderful things to say about my stay here. I had to be in Gettysburg to help with an ill family member. What was supposed to be 4 days turned into 4 weeks. The staff here was beyond kind, professional and so compassionate. They made me feel like I had a home away from home. From Kinga mopping the floors in her bare feet to Taylors kind smile. I'm actually a little sad to go! I don't know everyone's name but each and everyone of you were top notch!! Housekeeping, breakfast staff, Albert, Jay, the nice blonde lady at night who would pleasantly chat with me and offer food/shopping suggestions. THANK YOU HILTON GARDEN INN!! You made an impossible situation tolerable and pleasant. I'll definitely be back and bring my family 🤗🤗

I have stayed at other Hilton Garden Inns before and they were wonderful, but this was a bad and disappointing experience. The front desk staff was great, but with that said, housekeeping was terrible! The beds looked like someone already slept in them, the garbages weren't emptied when they came to clean the room and they didn't replace all the towels we needed. The "queen" size bed was 4 inches shorter that it should have been. These were 56 inches- queens are supposed to be 60. I did measure them because I could't believe that they were as advertised. We were cramped and uncomfortable. The most disappointing was the pool, which had brown stains at the bottom of it, and left you feeling like it was dirty. This is unacceptable and a shame. Some of these problems I blame on Hilton itself for cutting corners. You didn't do yourself any favors

Fantastic stay! Room was clean and they offer daily maid service which is still not the norm in many hotels. Staff was very helpful when our TV remote stopped working and got it taken care of quickly. Location was an easy drive into town. The first night of our stay, we ate dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food and service were great. Would definitely stay here again.

I Actually never did my stay at this location, since that very morning I was at the doctors, sick. I thought that they would have been empathetic, as I could have, and even volunteered to submit information from the Dr. But, unfortunately no, they hid behind their cancellation Policy. So ok, they keep by their Policies..commendable...but then when I called back 2 weeks later, hoping that maybe since I was charged for the room, I could get at least my Honors Gold credit? Nope! instead, the man that answered the phone got belligerent with me and insisted that I call Expedia, even though I told him 5 times or more that I did not deal with expedia and that the reservation was made through Amex...When I called back with Amex on the phone he told me that I was getting offensive....The lady at Amex was taken back, as was I with the persons attitude. If you want to stay at a Hilton Property for the points, this place will work...but there are other hotels, just as nice and cheaper nearby...

Way overpriced. Had to shorten my reservation to one night well before the deadline to make changes and room rate went up to $350 for one night. I know it is Battle anniversary weekend but gheez that is high priced for any hotel. Walked into room and heat was blasting on an 85F Summer day. Had one issue to ask about and called front desk at 930 pm twice and phone rang for 3 minutes each time with no answer so I hung up. Also this hotel is very hard to access from road. Poor signage at road. Entrance not marked. Even Waze missed it. Have to u turn to backtrack and access through another shopping plaza. Rooms are tired and need a refresh. Stay at Wyndam. My friend stayed there for $150 same weekend and said all rooms are new.

I stayed here during a recent work trip and had a good overall stay. Room was clean and comfortable and staff was pleasant. The bar closed a bit early in my opinion and the hotel is not walkable to downtown area. Everything else was great and I would recommend staying here if walkability is not what you are looking for. Definitely stay here again!
