Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York
City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.

Not sure on the size of the petite room, when we stayed there was four of us, had a 2 bed 2 bath suite so we were very comfortable. If you don’t plan on being in the room for long periods, sleep & shower it should be ok seeing it’s you and your sister, when you arrive ask about the room & they might offer an up grade for your birthday. The staff there are great. “Happy 50th Birthday “

Each room in the nyc hotel is different. I believe it was an apartment building turned hotel.. ask many questions . Although I love this property ..I have stayed each time in very different rooms..from one bedroom with no window because the air conditioning unit was in the window to a spacious room with 2 bathrooms a living area and a kitchenette.. usually the fee charged before is returnable if there are no damages to the room
