Good location, helpful staff. Stayed here as a base for site seeing and it was perfect for this. There is a small shop downstairs that sell breakfast food and coffee to take back to the room. Our room was quiet and the air conditioning worked very well. Some things that could be improved - We would have loved a kettle and some mugs in the room however I am aware this isn’t common in NYC hotels. When we arrived there was a dirty sock in the room and our room wasn’t hovered regularly, but these are not make or break issues for us. There was no body wash in the room and the safe didn’t work when we arrived but these issues were resolved quickly. The hand soap was a bar and was changed daily even though we could have used the same one until it ran out - a little wasteful! Overall we would stay here again.…
Me and my wife have just came back from a 4nt stay at this hotel, the location is superb. You can see both Times Square and Central Park the moment you step out onto the street. Subways on the corner of the hotel and plenty of cafe and bars close by too. As for the rooms they were modern and spotless. Beds were brilliantly comfy too. We had no problems with lifts and anytime reception was busy the gents in the lobby were more than happy to help. It wasn’t extortionate to stay here and I found it great value for money. I’d happily stay here again and would recommend it too.
One of the best hotel experienced I have had in a while. The customer service was superb and everyone was kind and helpful. We left our bags with the hotel after our checkout with no issues. Also, it was our anniversary weekend getaway, and Elsa made it a little more special by surprising us with complimentary wine, and treats delivered to our room. We also had no issues with the elevator wait time. We were on the 18th floor, and each time our wait for the elevator was less than 2 minutes. I mentioned this because it was a negative experienced from looking at most customers review. Overall, we had a pleasant time at Park Central Hotel. The location, room and music made our stay pleasant.
Great location but the rooms are in desperate need of updating. The air conditioner was very noisy and the carpets are filthy and smelly! There are only 2 lifts so you can wait for quite a while at times. Not worthy of four stars and the price we paid.
Very good service and hospitality from Marissa! Also the location is ideal to explore NYC. The hotel is very clean which is important to us. We had a great time here and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you.
Elizabeth and Sonya on front desk gave me outstanding, friendly service. I felt like I was visiting my family the whole time I stayed at the hotel. The floor staff on the 8th floor was also friendly and quick to meet every need, too. Tony, the manager was gracious and attended to every need to extend our stay. My daughter and I had the time of our life in New York and the hotel was amazing in every way! Highly recommend!!! Location was also amazing for restaurants, transportation, safety, views from or window, Carnegie Hall, Central Park, Times Square and more. All within walking distance, too.
This was going to be a stellar 5 star review but two things let it down; elevator wait issue (lost 15 mins of our day waiting) and that insult of a resort/facilities fee. This is the biggest thing for us. We travel a hell of a lot and this is just drip pricing! Safe to say, we contested and got it waived eventually (by manageress) ( after being laughed at by the receptionist). This new industry policy will be the decline of tourism, just as it’s down in recent years in Las Vegas**. It’s a shame, because it leaves a bad taste in one’s mouth when coming from the UK where we have everything in one price! It’s a stark difference as it is but this is just hospitality adding a bit extra for themselves. Please don’t misrepresent yourself on competitive room rate search engines and then have a cost of $44/day on top of the room rate, just include it so that one is able to make an informed decision! Overall, putting this aside, the hotel was nice, well adorned/ decorated, comfy, (the SK bed was amazing!!!!!!), clean and spacious, and if it wasn’t for this thorn in our side, I would have booked here again in September. **As a frequently traveller I am aware that this is NOT a fee that can be legally obtained and is currently under address by the AG NYC as well as 50 other AGs. Mangeress, thank you for your hospitality!…
First of all, location wise, this hotel is perfect. Few mins walk from Central Perk and 10 minute walk to Times Square. Subway on the corner. The Hotel itself was wonderful, spotlessly clean, great reception and bar area, very pleasant to pop into the bar before a night out. The room was great, we were on the 15th floor and had an amazing view of NYC, perfect for our first visit. The amenities in the room were great, TV, ironing board, hairdryer, plugs etc. The service ladies are so friendly and helpful. The hotel only has two flaws, the lifts are very frustrating, often had to queue for 5/10 mins to access. The shop (to grab coffee) is eye wateringly expensive. Nonetheless, wouldn't think twice about returning to Park Central. Great Stay!
Nice, modern-ish hotel that’s central to many activities, sights, shopping, and restaurants - and surrounded by subway stations, and we never had an issue getting Uber/Lyft. Spy scape and MOMA were less than 10 minutes walk, and Carnegie Hall jus a block away. Staff were friendly, especially bell services and cleaning staff. They were also able to get in our room a little early, which we absolutely appreciated. Our only issue was the musty smell in our room. We requested our shower curtain changed, which helped but the smell was was still noticeable. We suspect it’s due to lack of ventilation in the bathroom. Check in and check out we’re super easy, and loved the option of using the app as room key.
Nice rooms. A little overcrowded elevators due to the fact that only two elevators are in service. Still pricy, but thats a general problem in NY. And one thing I really, really hate is the “facility” charge. Please include it in the hotel price, in my opinion it is deception at least.
