Stay was good, the tv and WiFi service went out throughout the weekend. Tried to watch the Yankees game while relaxing, but couldn’t due to cable going out. I ended up going to a nearby bar. Overall great value for your money, but could have been better.
This was the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in (Thanks to a connection through my work) that I was able to get a reasonable discount on. I believe online these rooms are ~$450/night which is insane to me, but after this experience I’m convinced that you get what you pay for. The room was spotless, nice and cold on a 90• June weekend, toiletries by Diptyque were divine, shower/water pressure unmatched, and ample space for two people to get ready in a NY hotel room. I was celebrating my 30th birthday and the staff went above and beyond, upgraded my room to a room with a view, and even brought me a piece of birthday cake delivered to the room (which was so thoughtful)! The day of check out the staff were nice enough to store our bags in the lobby (watched over of course) free of charge so that we could run out to grab bagels and coffee for the ride home without having to lug our bags around the city. 10/10 would recommend if you can afford it/are looking to splurge for a special occasion! …
Excellent service and such a wonderful get away! Thank you Mohammed Jimmy for your quality care and your kindness. It was unforgettable and made the stay even more memorable! Thank you! All the best, Jimmy and Adrienne
This place is top notch. The staff is amazing, rooms are amazing, breakfast is amazing! We stayed in a premium room with two queens family of four and the kids were through the roof about the place. Auto blackout blinds, spacious rooms, milk and cookies upon arrival, just all around so happy with our stay.
Stayed here for our honeymoon. On arrival we were met with polite and helpful staff. Room was clean and tidy, we were at the back of the hotel so it was very quiet on an evening. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom nice and powerful shower. Fresh bottles of water everyday, since it was our honeymoon we also got strawberries covered in chocolate and 2 free drinks vouchers. Only had breakfast once in the hotel and this again was very nice, and plenty of choice. Never made it to the rooftop bar - would recommend checking opening times. Few problems with the room. The battery went on the door so our key card would not work; informed reception and was sorted in less than 30minutes. Then the following daddy the battery ran out on the safety deposit box, again had to wait for the maintenance man to fix. Again this was sorted in under 30minutes. Good location - about 20/25 minutes to Grand Central Station. Literally next to Times Square. Bug Bus Tour there is a bus stop outside. Probably wouldn’t stay again as plenty of other hotels to choose from.…
Excellent location and great rooftop to get a drink and light food when arriving from Europe. Easy walking distance to everything. Bryant park next door is nice as well as Grocery shops around the corner
Was not expecting to get such a great room. Not only was the room clean but very updated, comfortable and spacious. The team members have been extremely helpful, above and beyond excellence in service.
We had a great overnight at The Knickerbocker. Hotel staff were very accommodating. We went up to the rooftop bar for a drink and were directed to sit at the bar. The bartender served three young ladies who came in right in front of us. We sat for 20 minutes before my daughter approached the maitre’d to complain about the lack of service. He was rude and told us we shouldn’t have sat at the bar. No apology from him and attitude from the bartender when we finally ordered. We were eventually seated outside but there was no effort to address the poor service. Front desk staff were very gracious.
The front desk staff and staff in the restaurant have been very helpful. However, it has been more than a few weeks since I emailed and talked with accounting department to correct a billing error. No change has been made beyond a misleading statement that the issue will be fixed. Very frustrating.
We had a beautiful room, everyone slept like a rock on the comfortable beds. The kids had cookies and milk upon arrival waiting in the room. The service was amazing, they arranged a private car to transport us to and from the airport which saved a lot of grief! Great central location near the subway and Times Square. Did we mention the service was great? Even had an issue where my son spilled his water bottle in the car that picked us up from the airport and the hotel managed it. We will stay there again for sure!
