Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

This hotel was perfect for my family's first trip to NYC. We had the pleasure of staying in the 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for our family of four. The room was equipped with smart TV's, a kitchenette, and two bathrooms. I loved that the hotel was centrally located which

Not sure what happened to the bed skirt or why they did replace it?
Photo doesn't do justice to just how stained that chair was. Couldn't bring myself to sit in it.

Hello , are there toiletries supplied in the bathroom?
Yes, we had shampoo, conditioner, body wash and bar of soap. They were replaced each day.

Hi, does this hotel charge a resort fee? Thanks
Happy to Say, NO. (Unlike most others who try to justify it) And Wifi carries no added cost either. The Jewel may be the single best, consistent deal in mid-town; I travel to NYC more than 25 x per year and come back to the Jewel more often than not for the location and the way I am treated by the staff. Also, if it matters, every room has a very solid set-up for getting some work done, including real office chairs. Highly recommended you try them out. Tell the folks at the front desk that Mr Infelise sent you!

Most bathrooms in America have plugs in them, especially when you stay at nice hotels. You can purchase plug adapters to use here, I have found that it's hard on your hair dryer that you bring from another country, and it takes up a lot of room in your luggage. If you find out that you don't like the hair dryer in your hotel room at the Jewel, there is a convenience store (Duane Reade) just a few doors away on the same street. For about $25 -- the cost of a drink or two -- you can purchase a hair dryer to use while you're here.

My friend and I stayed at The Jewel earlier this year in a small queen room with balcony over looking the rocker fella centre and it was fabulous. There was more than enough room for us both, and the bed was two three foots pushed together. We had a coffee/tea maker which was stocked up every day, which is not offered in every hotel. The deli shop for breakfast and Jimmys burger bar across the road supplied wonderful food too. The hotel is in a great location and we found it very quiet at night. Not sure what is offered in the deluxe room or how big it will be but if you ring the hotel direct they are very helpful. X

"A fridge in the room would have been nice."
"My single king room was small but space efficient - not much room for activities but a lovely cozy corner of the city for one or two people."
"Room was very comfortable, big enough for 2 people"
"My room was quiet even though it was on lower floor (2nd)."
"The outlets are confusing - they need to be "opened" or "unlocked" by inserting your plug's prongs and turning. "
