Join us for Joie de Vivre's New York debut, an all-new neighborhood gathering place in Chinatown. Our new boutique hotel is crowned with a rooftop terrace lounge overlooking the Manhattan skyline. Where diverse cultures have come together for centuries. A springboard to some of New York City's most vibrant neighborhoods, from here in the heart of Chinatown to the Lower East Side, Tribeca, Soho, Little Italy and Brooklyn. 50 Bowery is a boutique hotel that captures the energy of NYC, inspired by the cultural crossroads of our location on Manhattan's oldest street, where diverse cultures have come together for centuries. With this hotel's convenient location on Bowery near Canal Street and the Manhattan Bridge, getting anywhere in NYC will be a breeze. We celebrate the joy of life, where General Washington communed with his men at the Bull's Head Tavern, where actors once took the stage at the vibrant New York Theater, and where new Americans from Europe and Asia brought their optimism and ambition.

Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.

We honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and quite large for a Manhattan hotel, the service was wonderful everywhere, especially at the front desk and from Adam, the concierge. The lobby even smells amazing, which sounds like a

Hotel 50 Bowery is in a great location in Chinatown, with easy access to SoHo, Nolita, LES, etc. Rooms are well appointed (and not super tiny like Public’s), with nice bathroom toiletries, comfy beds and wonderful views of the Manhattan skyline if you are above the 9th floor. I

I could not say enough kind words about Hotel 50 Bowery and their staff. Other than staying for free, there is not any more they could have done for us and all our family and friends who also stayed there. They went way above any expectations we had for any hotel. From helping

Yes, it is just a variety of items, not just alcohol. You can ask to have it removed from your room. There is a price list for the items. The gummy pandas are very good, but we didn't care for the chocolate bar. Have fun in NYC! It's a great trip.

Sorry - I didn't see any animals while staying there, not sure what their pet policy is I'm afraid. Best to contact the hotel directly.
