Brand new. Sparkling clean. Well appointed. Super friendly staff. Great breakfast (they were short on staff… front desk clerk jumped in to help). Plenty of water pressure and genuinely hot water. No internet issues. Overall what we expected.
My wife and I were able to head out the night before our planned trip to Lake Lure and this hotel had seemingly good reviews and required relatively few Marriott points so I chose here and am so glad I did! The accommodations were exceptionally clean. We were assigned room 313 and nothing was in disrepair. There wasn’t anything I could complain about and the furnishings and design are all exceptionally stylish and beautiful! The parking lot was nearly full on the front and side but I didn’t hear any other visitors while in our room for the night! The check-in and -out staff were very friendly and although I didn’t meet Chad, he obviously cares a lot about this hotel as the grounds are perfection! Even if I had a meeting in Asheville, I believe I would take the extra time to stay here and drive in based on the amazing value super clean accommodations!…
My husband and I stayed here with our two toddlers and we have no complaints other than the lack of breakfast options which was due to covid and understandable. The room was very clean and comfortable. Our night manager, Chad, was very nice and helpful during our stay. We would happily stay here again.
We arrived at the hotel and there was no one at the front desk for about 15 minutes. When CeCe finally arrived, she was fairly rude to us. She never acknowledged my Platinum Elite status and behaved as though she was doing me a favor to check me into the hotel. I asked her for the standard complimentary two bottles of water and was told that because of Covid, I would have to buy them in the market. What???? That’s ridiculous! I’ve been traveling all year and have never been told this. After being in the room, we realized the road noise was quite loud. I went downstairs and requested to change rooms and initially, CeCe seemed surprised by the request, but she reluctantly provided us with a new room. Again, she was not friendly. Quite honestly, I’ve just never been treated so poorly at a Marriott and was disappointed with the experience. I think some customer service training is needed. The hotel itself is new and we liked the room. I just don’t think we would stay here again, given the poor customer service. …
I was in the middle of moving into a new place and had to higher painter and other people to get the place I was leaving into the same condition as it was when I moved in. Had been there 7 years. Well once again the staff there went out of their way to make my four days there memorable. It start with an upgrade from Queen room to a KINGSIZE SUITE. Chad and the ladies at the front desk as well as housekeeping treated me like Royalty. Don’t laugh but whenever I feel the need to be pamper that’s where I plan on going.
