We usually stay at a Hamp[ton Inn but this time we decided to try The Lodge. I can not say enough nice things about it. Everyone was so nice from the front desk to the man mowing the lawn. Upon arrival we found a welcome letter on our bed with chocolates. When we left we found a letter under our door thanking us for visiting the hotel. We had a small room but it came complete with a full size refrigerator and small kitchen with 2 burners and microwave, dishes ,silverware and pots and pans. We had 2 full sized beds. Everything was clean and well cared for. We will certainly return the next time we are in the area.
…is an amazing hotel with a very friendly staff. I loved when they said “welcome home”! I was in a lot of hotels, but never had this familiar welcoming feeling like at the Lodge! The hotel with it’s lodged flair is very clean and well maintained. We stayed there for four nights, it’s close to a lot of parks and trails for hiking. Although you have a very close access to I26 it’s pretty quiet. It’s about 10 minutes to the beautiful historical downtown of Hendersonville, which invites you for a shopping stroll, with an uncountable amount of bars and restaurants. We took a 30 minutes road trip to South Carolina with it’s cute and small historical towns close to the border. If we ever decide for another hiking vacation in this area we would definitely stay again at the Lodge!
We booked for our wedding, asking for the whole place all weekend! We offered to pay to save the rooms, and was told it wasn’t necessary. We paid the deposit and MORE! And then Wendy emailed me that they had no rooms Friday and only 10 Saturday. By the end of our week long phone call back and forth she told me I was ridiculous to not want to stay at other hotels and “most” People wouldn’t care. Then we got ahold the owner Scott who wouldn’t give us our deposit back. We fought to get the extra money we sent. And we didn’t even sign a contract because Wendy was so slack at her job. She continued to say things to us clearly getting confused with another wedding and never saved any of my info because she asked for my number multiple times. I will never deal with this lodge again and if you are planning on getting married or booking multiple rooms save your time. She clearly has friends at these other hotels and doesn’t care what the customer wants.…
Nice clean room with full size refrigerator, window overlooking the parking lot, acceptable breakfast buffet with hot and cold items and friendly staff that greeted me upon arrival. That works for me.
The staff were super friendly - our key packets had our names on them and there was a lovely welcome letter with mints in our room. The lobby was warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean and spacious. I didn't realize it was an interstate hotel and thought that we were going to have mountain views. The "waterfall" is a man made waterfall in the back yard of the property. They also allow dogs and there was a decent amount of barking and, though it was irritating, it only happened a few times. The indoor pool is nice. The breakfast was fresh and the gentleman serving/replenishing was friendly and attentive. Our room overlooked a roof in the backyard (maybe the pool house) and was a little disappointing, but other than that, we were thoroughly pleased.
