Travellers' Choice
WE'RE OPEN! Thank you to all of our wonderful guests who continue to choose us from among the many hotels available in San Diego. We're a family-owned and operated independent hotel in San Diego for three generations. We have seen many ups and downs, and we've always persevered thanks to the support of our loyal guests. We will be here for you when this storm passes. We're in a central location, in a commercial pocket – we joke that we are nowhere but right next door to everywhere. We have a wide selection of room types, including large apartments with kitchens.

What a beautiful place. First time staying here and we will be back for sure. Clean, well maintained, comfortable beds. Location is not bad as it is across the street from Old Town San Diego easy walk. We stayed in the single level area and it was nice. Too close to the street but not noisy. Good continental breakfast.

Hotel's Favourite
We were searching for a hotel near the airport and found that the chain hotels charge for parking so decided to give the Old Town Inn a try. We were very pleased that we did. Stayed for 3 nights. We enjoyed free parking, free wifi, free breakfasts (pretty basic) and a comfortable, clean, quiet room with a big screen TV. Access to I-5 to get downtown was quick and easy (thanks to my GPS) and a short drive to the car rental facility at the airport. Hope to return one day.

Dear George M: Thank you for choosing the Old Town Inn San Diego and for sharing your experience with us on TripAdvisor! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay and our hotel's close proximity to the airport and the rest of San Diego. We are a small hotel with a single-minded dedication to consistent service, quality, and value. We put every effort into making sure our guests stay is the best it can be, and because our hotel is a small family run business, we can be a bit more informal than larger hotels are able to be, which I think results in a warmer/ friendlier experience for our guests. Thank you again for the positive comments regarding our clean spacious room, free breakfast, location as well as our warm customer service. We are a modest, 2-star rated hotel with a single-minded dedication to consistent service, quality, and value. On your next visit, book directly with us by going to our website or by calling the front desk, we have many room types that are not always available on our booking partner’s website. * Book Direct with Us - For the Best Service, Selection, and Value! * Yours in Hospitality, Mike | Front Desk Agent Old Town Inn Visit our Hotel Website or Call Us at (800) 643-3025

Just returned from an overnight stay at the Old Town Inn and would stay there again in a heartbeat. No view to speak of, you might be worried it’s in a more industrial area, and wait…are those train tracks nearby? Don’t give these things a second thought. The property is well maintained, spotless, perfectly situated if you want to go almost anywhere in San Diego—Shelter Island, Little Italy, Old Town, airport, ocean, attractions. Within walking distance of civilization. Parking spaces near your room. I booked a room with two queen beds…spacious with fridge & microwave, the best pillows and mattress, and when you close the door, you can’t hear anything from the outside world (Okay, noisy neighbors hooting it up outside my door at 7:30am, and the National Anthem on a loud speaker at 8am from the serious-looking Naval War complex across the street) but I slept like a log & so did my dog. A packaged COVID-safe breakfast bar—great coffee and loved the Aussie Bites. Best part: impeccable customer service, 24 hour staffing. I felt safe walking my dog at night and in the morning, and really appreciate they allow dogs. I think this place is a find.

I gave Old Town Inn 4stars because if you are looking for a luxurious hotel you will be disappointed. But if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable room, with a comfortable bed it will be fine. The hotel is located within walking distance of Old Town. It took us about 10 minutes to get to the Pizza restaurant advertised in our room. The hotel has a “heated” pool (not warm enough for southern folks:). The area is beautifully landscaped and we enjoyed our continental breakfast each morning sitting at a table near the poo. The staff is friendly. We would definitely stay there again.

Old Town San Diego is part history tour, part shopping place, part good dining and all entertainment. Whether you want to learn about San Diego history in recreated buildings or shop for Mexican crafts, or be entertained by Mexican music and dance, Old Town is a great break from the beach.
