Overall stay was good, room was clean. Bathroom slider door had to be adjusted to close completely. That was the only major issue. Some sort of complimentary breakfast would’ve been nice to have as well considering how much the nightly stay was/is. We would go back though

Hotel's Favourite
My family and I are so thankful we live in San Diego. When we can, we love to plan Staycations and experience different properties in our city. We decided to book a weekend trip at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay and we were overwhelmed with the amazing experience. The moment we checked in, Anthony greeted us with a warm welcome! I am positive he was smiling behind his mask :) I was impressed at the safety precautions he was taking as he helped one guest in front of me and then sanitized his hands, put on a new pair of gloves and cleaned the counter prior to inviting me up to the glass. Anthony gave me a rundown of the property, parking and mapped out where my room was located. We booked the Corner Ocean View Suite...and it was Sweet! When we checked into our room, we were amazed! It was beautiful! We immediately walked out to the balcony and caught a gorgeous sunset! ::takes deep breath:: The views were immaculate!!! After an amazing nights rest, we walked down to the cafe and grabbed some coffee and croissants. We were greeted by an amazing barista, Silvia. She was so kind and patient as we couldn't decide on our order. :) After our coffee, we wanted to spend the day at the pool. The pool opened at 8am and we got there right when it opened. We were greeted by Justin as he was cleaning all of the chairs and making sure they were properly distanced. We engaged in a great conversation as he shared his enjoyment of working for the Hyatt Regency. He checked on us periodically throughout the day, as did our server, Tyler! Tyler was friendly and courteous and provided an excellent level of customer service! Our kids thought the water slides were the best thing about the hotel and they didn't want to leave. We literally spent almost nine hours at the pool! We enjoyed every moment of our stay! I can't say enough about this property and the staff! They are the reason we love the hospitality industry...because they were extremely hospitable. If you are looking for a place to stay in San Diego, look no further! This is by far my favorite property. Well done, Hyatt Regency Mission Bay!

Hotel staff was friendly and professional . The room was clean and modern and had a great view of the marina and SeaWorld. The beds were comfortable. This hotel is walking distance to the mission beach roller coaster area as well as several restaurants

I was in charge of booking our accommodations for my BFF's bachelorette party. We rented a yacht for the day and it was docked behind this hotel which is why we chose this location. I booked a suite, and 3 regular rooms. One of the suites upon check-in was so awkwardly setup we asked to be changed to a different layout. You walk in and the bed is there a narrow walkway to the living room in the back. This setup was not going to be conducive for our event and so they were able to move our suite to a better layout option. I had multiple women checking in to the hotel in the following days and specifically added their names to the room reservations, but the front desk reception kept "losing" these names and thus caused multiple issues with guests being able to access rooms and such. The main gripe I have is because the names were not added properly a guest of mine who had her car in the valet. Well at some point during the stay her car was involved in an accident and will need to have its bumper and taillight replaced. NOT COOL. They couldn’t contact her bc her name was not on the room. And they thought oh let's just take off the $42 valet charge and $35 resort fee. $77 dollars? Are u kidding me??Do they realize the inconvenience of having to have your car in the repair shop when you have two small children and your husband works out of town often? I get that it was an accident, but this is going to cost my guest more in the end because you can't just order an uber to get around with 2 children. She can't just walk around stores with 2 car seats in tow along with her children. This is insanity. I tried to call and email management and was left ignored. So maybe they will eventually address this experience when they get corporate involved from this review. They have a $10 credit towards daily food and beverage which is nice, but then when you try to preorder from the website for coffee it is a 45minute wait because everyone is trying to get their free coffee. I'd rather just pay for it and have less people ordering so I could get my coffee! My guest stayed in Room 2081 and the neighboring room was extremely loud and the walls were paper thin. Don't expect any type of relaxing sleep if staying in the Bay Rooms. Room 2083 the ceiling was falling apart in the bathroom from shower head spraying water all over the place. Mold hazard!! The only plus to the hotel was the location to the dock of our boat and proximity to the bay. I stay at Hyatts frequently, have status and so very disappointed in this weekend. After spending almost $4000 I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth. Really hope this hotel can get their crap together. They send emails following up after check-in and when you actually reach out to the hotel your requests are left ignored. Just no accountability in this hotel.

We paid for a ocean view, balcony and corner room. We could not see the ocean from the 5th floor where are room was assigned. The hotel staff asked if we wanted to pay extra for a corner & wrap around balcony and we said ok. It ended up being a regular balcony with no ocean view, however it did have a marina view.
