I stayed at Urban Boutique Hotel yesterday and had an AMAZING experience. I had a nice room, with everything I needed, the bed was really comfy and dont worry about the location, its JUST in the middle of Little Italy but you cant hear a thing from outside. The girl at the reception was really nice and gave me all kinds of advice of what to do and where to go. I extremely recomend this hotel, great price, awesome location and cool staff.
If you're like me and don't stay at hotels for all the bells and whistles, this is the perfect place for you in SD. I tend to not do anything else but use hotels to sleep. seldom do the pools, food areas, room service, and most other offered things at most hotels get used by me. I would rather just spend all of that time in the actual city im visiting. That being said, there are a few things from this place worth mentioning. - Rooms are small - There are no tables in the room - Parking can be tough - No hangers for closet - Hard to accommodate more than one person This place did exactly what it needed to do, at a good price, give us a place to sleep before exploring the city the next day. The staff is friendly and helpful.
I've been a personal and business traveler for decades and this is BY FAR the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. For starters, my entire room was smaller than most walk-in closets---that is NOT an exaggeration. My room was literally the size of a closet. I could touch all four walls from my bed. The "bathroom sink" was not even in the bathroom...it was right next to my bed!! I could literally wash my hands from my bed! But to be able to wash your hands, you need soap, right? There was no soap for the sink and there was no soap for the shower. I asked the guy at the front desk for soap for both the sink and the shower and he tried to give me a tube of body wash...he said that they were "out of soap." And now let's talk about my bed. I've slept in hospital beds that were bigger. Seriously, I thought that my days of sleeping in a tiny bed ended with sleepaway camp. Not when you stay at this hotel. Also, there was no parking available for me...they told me to just drive around the neighborhood and try to find a place to park. Sadly, I'm not making any of this this up...every word I have written is true. This place is an absolute joke. It's not a hotel...it's not even up to the standards of a youth hostel. For anyone to take money from me for a room and an experience like this should be illegal...isn't there a crime in San Diego against stealing? I'm aggravated that I have to give this place one star...it didn't come close to earning it. Zero stars.…
I recently stayed at this hotel during a weekend visit with some family who live in the San Diego area. The room wasn't the fanciest. However, the shower was hot, the air cold and the room had a microwave and mini-fridge. The desk staff were helpful and friendly and the location was marvelous. Located within walking distance to Little Italy and several area attractions.
The Perfect place to stay in the heart of SD. The Location is Perfect! Surrounded by resturants, bars and walking distance to all the great places in Little Italy. The staff, and vibe is what makes the hotel the place to stay!!!
