Hotel Republic San Diego, Autograph Collection takes design cues from San Diego, California's dynamic oceanside location, with lofty ceilings and chandeliers made from reclaimed driftwood. Coastal inspiration continues in our downtown San Diego hotel's guest rooms, furnished in contemporary neutral tones accented by blue tie-dyed pillows. With a convenient address in the heart of the city’s social hub, travelers enjoy quick access to the historic 16-block Gaslamp Quarter, trendy Little Italy, the San Diego Bay, the ballpark and the San Diego Convention Center. All of this is taken in from our hotel’s stylish rooftop lounge, where craft cocktails and light fare pair with breathtaking city and ocean views.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Republic for a couple days to celebrate her birthday and our 22nd wedding anniversary in San Diego. I have to admit we were blown away with how the the staff treated us. From a complimentary bottle of wine from the front desk to the service we

The hotel tries very hard, and all the staff is very attentive (including the manager, who responded extremely quickly to a service lapse that I noted). The lobby has a fun atmosphere, but my priority at a hotel is relaxing after work, and unfortunately the rooms are not suited

As far as I know, parking is charged daily. $48US. It's high, but it's the same rate everywhere. If you're there on the weekend, you can try street parking. I assume it's free in the evening and overnight. The area empties out of cars on the weekend. At least it did, when I was there. Of course, if you decide to do this, leave nothing of value in your car.
