Not a great choice, honestly can't figure out why this place has good reviews. The beds aren't comfortable, the televisions are very small and don't even point toward the bed or TV. The windows are super thin so it is very noisy from everything happening outside. Housekeeping only comes every other day. I regret picking this place.
We stayed here during comic con as an escape of the hustle of downtown. The front desk staff was amazing and always quick if I needed help. The barista/cafe staff were very friendly. The food and drinks were awesome. The bartender was very nice as well and food was good. Fernando, our shuttle driver, was alot of fun and full of facts about San Diego. Good guy to converse with and helped us with all of our luggage even joking that we brought empty luggage for our Comic Con goodies. This is our 2nd stay here and it was the best!
I have stayed at all level Marriott hotels and this one has my highest rating. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always has a positive attitude and smiles on their faces no matter how crazy the day has been. I feel that their caring attitude is genuine and this isn’t just another job to them. Fernando the shuttle driver is an amazing guy. He was great to get to know during my stay. I used the shuttle 4 times and each time was a delight.
I have stayed over 100 nights a year and mostly Marriott’s and I had a recent taste of superb customer service and care as I wasn’t feeling well while at the San Diego Marriott Courtyard Airport; the front desk run by Jody all by herself made sure I had everything I needed. Thanks so much Jody went up and beyond to make sure I was alright. That meant so much to my well being and a big smile to continue my journey!
I cannot say enough about the help and support I received from Erica Barton, the sales manager, at Courtyard Marriott Liberty Station. We had a block of rooms for my daughter's wedding and she very patiently walked me through the process, answered all my many questions, responded to my calls and emails in a timely manner, and helped book a BEAUTIFUL room for the newlyweds for their wedding night. Our out of town guests raved about the location and felt the property was well worth the cost. It was such a convenient location to the wedding venue and walking distance to all the fabulous things Liberty Station has to offer. We will be recommending this gem to all who visit San Diego. Thank you!!
Come to San Diego quite often and always stay at downtown Hilton/Marriott properties but decided to give this property a try based upon all the 5-star reviews. And it did not disappoint on so many levels and is now my go-to location for the following reasons. To make this review short let me simply state all the 5-star reviews are absolutely true. Property: Staff is exceptional (thanks Tiffany for the upgrade and early check-in) and the rooms are extremely comfortable and well maintained to include the property. WIFI fast and ample parking to include great views of the water if your room faces that way. Location: Increases the charm of the hotel exponentially as the morning walks along the water and in/around Liberty Station are fantastic and somewhat therapeutic. Within a 10 to 15 min walk you have numerous places to grab a meal, drink or relaxing event. There are two full-up grocery stores (Vons & Trader Joes) that are a 9-min walk or two- minute ride for everything you need. Too many restaurants to choose from all within walking distance or a very quick ride -- from Stone Brewing to Mediterranean to the Public Market that has so many places to choose from. And also offers a great vibe to grab a meal, a beverage (beer, wine, soda) and then pick an outside seat to relax and enjoy. Vibe: If you want a place to relax from a day in/around San Diego and have lots of space to take a walk/enjoy the beauty of San Diego then pick this place. Every morning we went out for a walk, grabbed a Starbucks and then a little Yoga on the many grass and park areas. Then off to Public Market or another Restaurant for dinner and an evening walk -- away from the hustle & bustle of San Diego. Airport: 5-min Lyft ride from airport if all the lights are green -- 10 min ride from the rental car facility and parking is free on site. In fact if you are at the Public Market area of Liberty Station you can see the end of the runway. Finally from outstanding staff to facilities to location -- can see why the high rating by the reviews. I liken this hotel to being the "Perfect Stay Trifecta" for the money spent. Will definitely be back.…
Beautiful hotel in a great location. Super clean and love the ambiance . I’m writing this review for the front staff because whenever I needed something they would always deliver with the most professional friendly attitude. HUGE shout out to Shana and her Team! Kelsey, Kris, Tiffany, Chuck, Jose, and Liz for making me feel like a VIP. This is the dream team and because of all of them the hotel is as amazing as it is. Thank you!
I stayed at the hotel and it was lovely. Very warm and helpful staff. Especially the front desk guy Evan. The water is right next to hotel. I recommend this hotel for your visit to San Diego. I’ll be returning.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard Liberty station. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel did a great job of accommodating our large group. The drivers Fernando and Alex were the best! They were friendly and made sure to give us excellent tourist advise.
June 2022 was our third time staying at the Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Airport/Liberty Station over the last few years. The hotel manager Jaci Sims and her staff have always had a positive attitude, willing and ready to serve to meet our needs and to do their best to accommodate requests. The hotel is family friendly and we have stayed here with our children and always see other families having a great time. The Bar/Lounge and the Cafe both have a simple but very nice and friendly atmosphere, great food and drinks as well! The customer service during our recent stay was incredibly amazing. Thank you Jaci and Staff for making us feel so special as we were celebrating our Anniversary. Great room views from all sides of the hotel, located adjacent to the San Diego Harbor and Liberty Station Park, Shops and Restaurants within a few blocks walking distance, others within a short drive. Lots to do and see from this location, walking trails, play at the park, walk along the harbor, go paddle boarding all starting from the pool side lawn and fireplace, which by the way is a great place to enjoy drinks and hang out with family and friends. And although the hotel is across the waterway from the San Diego Int'l. Airport, we do not even notice the planes, but when we do it is fun to watch them take off and land. I only wish we could visit more often, we always feel renewed, refreshed and leave with a smile and great memories. Every experience at this hotel has been special and memorable. If you are looking for a great place to stay in San Diego near the Harbor then this is the place! Thank you so very much Jaci. God bless ~ Jess…
