The place was beautiful! The room was amazing! We had a view of the harbor and the city! Stunning! So very clean! Everything was perfect! Amazing attention to detail! The restaurant was friendly delicious and warm! I loved how the beautiful hostess got to know us for our short stay! We wanted for nothing! So sad to leave! Will return!
Took 2 separate trips to New England as part of our Summer road trip. Spent 1 night at the BHH before heading to NH for the 4th of July weekend and was so impressed with the staff, facilities and the hotel itself, we made a point of returning later in the month and stayed for 2 more nights. Booked through my AMEX Fine Hotels and resorts and received an unexpected treat as we were upgraded to a suite overlooking the harbor and the City. There is no turn-down service due to COVID but other than that we didn't feel like there was anything missing from the service or amenities. LOVED the breakfast at Rowes Wharf Sea Grille and was happy to eat outside....even on a 90 degree day. My 11 year old loves room service...Ordered room service for lunch twice and was delicious. Walking distance to the New England Aquarium, Chinatown and great neighborhood restaurants. A 5-star hotel isn't all about how fancy the furnishings are or the chandelier in the lobby.....but how welcome the staff makes you feel and how well things are run. The BHH is definitely now one of our top 5 favorite hotels and excited to return in the Fall.…
Pros: Excellent service. Whatever you ask for the staff delivers with grace and efficiency. Location. Close to historical sites, Seaport, subway etc. Big rooms and bathrooms. Pool Cons: Low water pressure. Flush toilets twice. Weird shower controls. Restaurant was closed even though restaurants in Boston were open. Unreliable WiFi signal. I was disconnected multiple times and had to log back in. Pool was too cold even though it was heated. Overall this is a solid city and luxurious city hotel.
We are currently staying here for our second visit in less than 6 months, just can’t get enough! The restaurant is closed until mid April but room service breakfasts have been perfect-hot and delicious. They even include a vase with a Cala Lily each day. We feel so welcomed every time we walk in the doors. The room temperature has been perfect, beds comfortable, room immaculately clean, and the cookies each afternoon are the perfect bedtime snack for the kids. Just a note for those of you bringing your cycling shoes, the Peloton does not use the shoes that came with bike but instead uses those with spd clips (or cages for your sneakers). Already planning our next trip back! Thank you again BHH for exceeding our expectations and giving us a relaxing and luxurious stay.
There are truly not enough words to articulate how exceptionally wonderful my recent stay at the Boston Harbor Hotel was with my youngest daughter. I decided to take an impromptu "staycation" with my 4-year-old and what I thought would be a lovely little solo getaway ended up being a memory that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I live just outside Boston and therefore I had never had cause to actually stay at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Under normal circumstances -- meaning, if I were traveling a long distance to stay at a hotel -- I would have done a lot of research to make sure a hotel was child-friendly. In this instance, given it was "local" and also known for its opulence I assumed child-friendliness would not be a top priority. Wow, was I wrong. Rodney at the front desk could not have been lovelier to my daughter and me when we first checked in. He made us both feel so welcome and set such a wonderful tone for our stay at the Boston Harbor Hotel. When we got up to our room I was in awe of the attention to detail the hotel had put into ensuring guests' safety. Individual hand sanitizers and two (individually packaged) masks were waiting on the desk in our room. Glasses, toiletries, TV remotes, etc. were all individually bagged and sterilized -- and yet there was nothing "sterile" feeling at all about their thoroughness. Rather, they still somehow managed to make their attention to detail feel like the ultimate luxury; their actions demonstrated that the safety and comfort of their guests was the absolute top priority. Shortly after we got to our room there was a knock at the door and housekeeping was delivering a child-sized robe and slippers, which my daughter absolutely adored! Then came the exceptional in-room dining experience. Confession: room service is perhaps one of my favorite indulgences when I travel (much to my husband's chagrin) and therefore I feel like I can speak with some authority when I say this was.... hands down..... the most delicious in-room dining meal I have ever had. In fact, it shouldn't even be compared to in-room dining food because it was delicious in its own right. My daughter ordered off of the children's menu and she ate the full dinner (despite being a fairly picky eater). What's more, I ordered her the child's sundae as a treat/surprise and it came with this incredibly well-organized little plate full of hot fudge, sprinkles, whipped cream, brownie bites, and cherries. It's been a week since we stayed there and she still can't stop talking about it :) The "grown-up" food was equally awe-inspiring and I am having daydreams about the crab and avocado salad that I had. I'm realizing this review is getting a bit long and truthfully I could wax poetic for another five paragraphs about our stay. Things I would mention further if I had more time: the pool (!), the gorgeous views, the incredible location, the amazing toiletries, the fact that they do *not* have a lot of little hidden fees that leave you with a bad taste in your mouth, how business-friendly the rooms are (I had to do some work Zooms while I was there), their extensive on-demand TV/entertainment selections, the kindest overall hotel staff I have ever encountered, and much, much more. Thank you, BHH, for an unforgettable experience with my daughter. I will be back again very soon, I am sure. Needless to say, fellow travelers, I can't recommend this hotel highly enough and would encourage anyone traveling to Boston (from near or far) to give themselves the best gift possible and stay at the Boston Harbor Hotel - I guarantee you will not regret it.…
