While I was staying at the Boston location I felt very safe and was very pleased with their attentiveness to the covid protocols. I would stay here again for date night. The location is great and they even upgraded my room when I arrived to check-in.
Hotel was clean. Attendents were all excellent. It was quite. And checking out was a breeze. I checked out at 3 am to get to work and Andy at the front desk was wide awake and very friendly making certain my stay was what I had hoped and expected.
Heart of downtown and could not be more convenient. There are many places to eat within very close walking distance. There is plenty to see and experience in his historic city and transportation is easy. The staff at the hotel are exceptional and go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. Been here during the Covid restrictions and feel very safe here. They keep the hotel clean and everyone wears a mask. They have maintained some level of food service and have just recently opened the main dining area again. Overall, Hyatt Regency Boston is the place to stay.
We had a great suite here (corner) with a nice sitting room and the bed was super comfortable. We've stayed her many times as it is a great midway location to be able to walk to the Back Bay or Seaport if you enjoy walking like we do where we logged in 5-10 miles a day going in one direction for the afternoon and another for the evening. With that said, this area has gotten a little less desirable and doesn't feel as safe as it has in years past. It is pet friendly, however there is nowhere to walk your dog and the area has really gotten off track and feels pretty dirty. The staff has also had quite a bit of turnover since our previous stays and we found them less friendly and with very little desire to help or make guests feel welcomed. The full service restaurant was closed due to C19 which was a shame as that is where this hotel has always shined with a beautiful breakfast offering as well as a fun evening vibe and they were always accommodating with vegan options. Thankfully, some of the restaurant staff is still there at the little grab and go restaurant and being able to start the day grabbing coffee and smile really made our day. Will we stay here again next time? I'm not sure, I think we would look at some of the hotels in the Seaport area. We have also stayed in many of the BackBay hotels which is a fun location. I do have to give a shout out to the maintenance man as our first room had a major leak due to the guests above us leaving the water running and it ran down the wall and blew out the electrical outlets in our room, and I wish I remembered his name as he was just a sweetheart of a guy and had the best attitude as did the door man--true lovers of life which is something we greatly appreciate in others. In fact, Management might ask those two to help train the front desk staff…
My trip was short lived but would absolutely recommend a prolonged stay as I intend to do during my next visit! Friendly atmosphere and plenty to keep you occupied in the area. Views were brilliant and food was delicious!
