The best Asheville Bed and Breakfast (B & B) in Western North Carolina. We are 1.4 miles to the Biltmore Estate, 1.2 miles to Downtown Asheville, 1/2 mile to Mission Hospital and very close to Mountain Area Health Education Center aka MAHEC. Always affordable luxury with free wireless internet! Our guests experience an unforgettable stay with great cuisine, comfortable bedding and the ability to mingle with unique individuals from all around the world to share life stories. Our Lodge is decorated "Rustic Industrial" with woods, metals and leather accents that exude a spa feel. Each guest room has warm decor and it's own ensuite bath. Our home was "purpose renovated" to be a Bed & Breakfast in 1995 with special care to insulate noise between all rooms unlike most historic B&B's that have paper thin walls. Your hosts welcome you into their Speakeasy "The Flask & Barrel" with host/owner Kevin on select weekend evenings for social hour. Arrive as a stranger, leave as a member of the North Lodge family. Many of our guests return often as they realize unlike staying at a Hotel, North Lodge B&B is an unforgettable experience.

My boyfriend and I stayed at at North Lodge on Oakland last night. This was a departure for us, we travel often but generally stay in dependable chain hotels. But this time, I wanted to “feel” like we were in the mountains. This B&B is centrally located and extremely cozy - and mountain feeling! The grounds are lush and the stone exterior of the home is beautiful. David, the owner/host was so welcoming! Breakfast was delicious and we highly recommend the cozy Library Room. I slept amazingly well. We will be back in the fall!

Folks, you can't do better than this. My wife and I stayed for five nights at North Lodge on Oakland and I have no idea where to start with the superlatives. We were in the Marsh Room on the third floor, one of the larger rooms with an opulent king bed, a couple of wing-back recliners, a large walkway to the bath with a nice dressing area, and lots of windows. There's a fridge and Keurig, too. But we didn't spend too much time in the room after we found our favorite reading chairs downstairs next to the front windows and close to treats that Dave regularly puts out for the guests. There are several nooks and corners downstairs with comfy chairs, pillows and throws where you can read alone, play a card game, or get to know other travelers. The breakfasts are some of the best I've had anywhere. Creative but not fussy. I still can't get the french toast soufflé that I had my first morning there out of my mind. I may come back just for that. To us, though, what made North Lodge really wonderful are the owners, Dave and Kevin. Both of them are there to make you feel at home and take care of you. When I was talking to either one, I never got the feeling that I was taking him away from anything (even though I almost certainly was). Last words: when you visit, if Kevin's speakeasy is open don't be a drag -- GO!

Thank you for choosing to stay with us at North Lodge Bed & Breakfast. Your eloquently written review is beyond appreciated. Our goal with every guest is to extend the comforts of our Inn, make everyone feel like extended family and ensure that an unforgettable visit is experienced by all. We both found you both to be so incredibly genuine and our time in the Speakeasy was so much fun. We trust that whenever you're in our Western North Carolina area you'll be excited to return to add more memories to the storybook of your lives. Until then, travel safe and keep laughing!

We chose this B&B for our anniversary weekend based on our impressions of the breakfast options and the beautiful photos of the house, and both lived up to our high expectations. The bedrooms and shared areas had so much charm, accentuated by daily homemade treats from the innkeepers. And Dave's multi course breakfast was incredible. If we could have extended our trip just for more delicious breakfasts, we would have! Thank you to Kevin and Dave for serving as kind and attentive hosts.

North Lodge is a gem. We booked a fairly impromptu July 4th getaway and were amazed with this place’s charm and hospitality. Kevin and Dave are a class act. Our room was spacious and cozy. Dave’s breakfasts were out of this world. Day 1: egg/chorizo flamenco and a berry soufflé. Day 2: banana split parfait and brisket hollandaise. Let’s not forget about the mid afternoon snack of homemade donuts! Check out this amazing spot. Perfect location, awesome accommodations and great owners. Can’t wait to return!!
