We just hotels in Florida City/Homestead as a jumping-off point for an annual visit to the Florida Keys. Most are clean, inexpensive, and friendly. The Floridian is a huge exception. The staff is rude and not friendly, our room was dirty. smelly, and had a huge cracked mirror. I would not have eaten or drunk anything placed in the refrigerator as it was uncleaned. and I feel as though the sheets were not changed from the prior users. The sheets were wrinkled and not tucked in when we first arrived. When checking out, the front desk attendant sat in his chair, legs propped up while watching TV; he just pointed at the basket to drop off the keys without making any eye contact whatsoever. This area has better options—avoid this one at all costs.

I rent one room for my anniversary and stay one nights in Orlando looking at the room the door did not close all the way the room was all smell bad and not good dirty bed have dirty And I pick up the key at 5.30 and let all my bag on the room and all look strange people running in the hall screaming and running from the pool I said ok maybe get better after 10pm I left to Disney park to spend with my wife and after I finish at 11.pm I get back to the hotel and the hotel look like a disco party knight club party all every room laud noise all the hall and people running the hotel look like a disco party knight club party all every room laud noise all the hall and people running and smoking drugs smell bad and i told the front desk and they can't do nothing I told them I not stain one nights in this hotel I need to cancel my room is not safe for my wife and me my wife use a breathe matching and need to be in a silence room and the front desk never close the room make look like I sleep on the room after I return the key card to the front desk Alquilo una habitación para mi aniversario y me quedo una noche en Orlando Mirando la habitación, la puerta no cerraba del todo. We booked in and it said that they only do cooked breakfasts on fri, sat and Sunday and continental all other days and they said that they only clean your room if requested after 2 days. When I asked why I was told it was because of covid,,, I can’t see how this possibly makes sense as they still go in your room and everyone is still in the breakfast room touching everything. It’s all about saving money! It is evident that they don’t have as many cleaners as the whole place is dirty, having glass tops in the bedroom you can see all of the dirt and the ceiling over the shower was falling down. Less service for more money now!

This was rated 3+ on Priceline where we booked it as one of their mystery “deals”. The motel is old. They have an updated lobby but haven’t bothered with the rooms. The shower faucet was broke so no hot water. Management didn’t care. In the morning we found BUGS in the sink and bathroom floor - little tiny crawly things. So gross. No ice machine (broken). One of the queen beds was sunken in the middle.

Spent a night here before starting my favorite drive in the U.S.A., from Key Largo to Key West. This hotel is located on Rt. 1, so there’s a little traffic noise but overall it’s fairly quiet and we had a good nights’ sleep. Our room was clean and very comfortable, just a bit dated (time for some remodeling). Two relatively minor problems: room only has a few electrical outlets- not conveniently located- so if you need to charge cellphones and other electronics consider bringing your own power strip. Also, the shower was okay, just enough hot water and the control valve barely works (needs to be replaced). We were pleasantly surprised by a very good “continental” breakfast (plenty of cereal, fruit, breads, yogurt, orange juice, boiled eggs, good coffee, etc.). Very clean and well-maintained dining area as well. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend this to other travelers. It’s not the Ritz, but it’s okay for a decent nights sleep if you’re passing through.…

Not the prettiest hotel but it was very clean and the beds where amazing!! This was a quick trip to the keys and we wanted to just stay somewhere before heading on down. The price was great , we didn't have any problems with people being laid or anything, we actually walked across the street for a late night snack and did I say the beds where like laying in a cloud so soft and comfortable. Only down was there was no plug-ins around the bed for my hearing pad but we made it work

I got a great deal to stay at this place. Hotel and car rental deal for 10 days. I was running out of time to book. So I finally took the deal. This place is more like the projects than a hotel. There are tons of families living here with out of control parents and kids. Not to mention the room was not even close to what I seen in pictures and was very old and definitely needs a complete remodel. There were men outside my room all night talking about shooting someone. There are kids running around all hours screaming and cussing. The room we had didn't even have an iron which was weird because there is an ironing board. There is a huge mirror with lights stuck into the wall but the light doesn't work because the plug can reach the outlet. Even at a discounted price, this place isn't worth any money. I asked for towels and got asked for my ID and the guy made a copy if it. I have never experienced that before. When raising these concerns to management I was basically shooed away. This place is a dump. Also I should if mentioned this first.... there are roaches. We asked maintenance to come fumigate the room.…
