We stayed st this motel five years ago and it was great. Returned with family that we had reccomend to this motel. We were embarrassed. The grassy area out front was dried up and not mowed. The patio umbrellas laying on the ground broken. Patio tables were dirty and paint peeling. Cigarette butts everywhere. The sidewalk in front of the rooms were dirty and had spills everywhere. The day we checked out the office was supposed to be open at 6:30 for breafast left at 7:15 nobody around. Left our key in the drop box. Very poor operation. Will not return.

I feel generous giving 1 star. We checked into the AI on Tuesday. First impressions were not great, the front office was untidy and the property looked generally unkempt. The website said there was a bike wash but we were informed that was not the case. Upon entering our room we found the carpet was dirty, I felt more comfortable keeping my shoes on. The window sill was covered in dirt and the curtain old and musty. Then after getting settled I moved a chair to the side and there was a giant cockroach on the ground. I scooped it up and threw it outside, then we discovered at least one more cockroach behind the bed. I went to the office to report the problem and let them know we would not be staying there and wanted a refund. The staff came to the room with me and tried to tell me that perhaps the cockroach came in from our car. I showed him the one behind the bed and he picked it up and threw it outside as if it wasn’t a big deal. No apologies, no explanation or offer to rectify the problem. We packed up our stuff and left. This place is disgusting, do yourself a favor and spend the extra money for a nicer room in town.

The room was nicely appointed and clean. This was also true for the bathroom. Disliked · The owners were very concerned about their ratings, asking clients to inform them of any problems which they could resolve before rating their establishment. Unfortunately, the problems we had were not directly amenable by the staff for at least two reasons.......1) There were no vacancies when we checked in, so we could not have been moved to another room. 2) Location------I would encourage future travelers to NEVER book a motel/hotel on Main Street (Highway 191), where a large percentage are located. This is the main highway through Moab, and as such, you will hear semi-trucks night and day rumbling through town. Additionally, the 4x4 ATV's which appear like marauding termites, are driving up and down Main Street with very unrestricted mufflers. Don't expect a good night's sleep due to the noise. Our room (117) had an A/C unit which was so loud that you could not hear the TV at a regular volume. There was even a note acknowledging how loud the system was with the recommendation of placing the fan setting on low. Well, even on low you couldn't hear the T.V. unless you turned it up loud enough to bother other clients. To make matters worse, because of the heat (it was 90 degrees the day we arrived), sleeping with the A/C on was impossible because it was loud and annoying. So, turn off the A/C, and try to fall asleep in a room which very quickly becomes too warm, even with the blanket and the sheets off. Perhaps other rooms do not have this problem, but we had a very uncomfortable stay.

This motel was recommended a few times in the National Park groups I belong to and I was happy to find reasonably priced accommodation for Moab. I did some research and read mostly positive reviews. We arrived and were given the room next to the laundry facility (#12, if I recall correctly). The room was dark and dank and worst of all, dirty. I went back to the front desk with photos of the room and asked for another one. Instead, the man told me he wanted to check out the room with me. I met him back outside with his parents in tow. All of them came into the room to look at the dirty tub and the woman took some spray, scrubbed it and then told me that it "wasn't that bad". When I pointed out the dirt on the windows, I was given the same indifferent response. Never once did any of them apologize for the condition of the room or appear to feel any sort of responsibility for the condition of the room. Needless to say, we did not stay there. If that's how they present a room to a guest, I can only imagine their general cleanliness standards when it comes to maintaining the hotel and preparing breakfast. Hard pass.

This is not a fancy place. It is a somewhat dated and worn motor inn. But, it was clean and comfortable and, best of all, quiet and very reasonably priced (for Moab). We never heard a peep out of our neighbors on either side. Another bonus is that we could walk (about a half mile each way) to downtown Moab to all of the cute shops and restaurants, which is a big deal because traffic and parking in Moab are a mess most of the day. It is also on the north side of Moab, which means you are closer to Arches and have less traffic to navigate. The front desk even called us when we absent-mindedly left something in our room when we checked out. For what it’s worth, we enjoyed the nearby Sultans’s Mediterranean, Thai Bella and Antica Forma restaurants (see separate reviews), which were each an easy walk from the motel. I would definitely stay at the Adventure Inn again.
