I stayed at the hotel in June, 2021 because nothing else in the area was available. I don't like to stay at low-budget properties because you get what you pay for and this was no exception. Just as I got into bed and began reading my book I noticed small roaches- they're called German roaches I believe- crawled across my bed sheet. No one answered the phone at the front desk and I slept on the floor. It was either that or sleep in my car. When I complained at check out I was told that it would be reported. No apology and the reaction from the desk clerk was as if this were a common accurance. I asked to speak with the manager but was told she would be in later. I phoned 2 days later to dispute the charge, given the circumstances, and was told I should have complained the night of my stay. When I said no one answered the phone that evening, I was told that was impossible. I paid over $200 for this horrible experience and was told I was a liar by the manager. When I called Choice Hotels customer service , I was told that local hotel managers make their own rules and that there was nothing that could be done. It's a month later and I'm still shaking my head in disgust!…
Modern hotel situated on Moab’s main street on the south end of town just a few blocks south of the little shopping area along that road. Spacious room with ample power and USB ports although there is only one table reading light between the beds with no other lights or bedside tables. There is a desk but no dresser. The room has a microwave and refrigerator. There is one occasional chair besides the desk chair. Hanging space is limited and absurdly part of it is rendered useless by the placement of the iron holder blocking about 1/4 of the space. The bathroom is spacious with good lighting and plenty of counter space. The included breakfast has lots of options both cold and hot and the staff managing the buffet were attentive and friendly. There is a pool but we didn’t use it. It is within easy walking distance of multiple restaurants and stores. Highly recommended.…
Overall we liked our stay. The front desk people were friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was adequate and there were many good restaurants nearby. The Arches is a short drive. A couple of things need improvement. One, they need to upgrade their refrigeration unit to include a freezer. I like to freeze at least 6 bottled water every night so they are still cold when I go hiking. I ended up drinking warm water while I hiked the Arches. Two, they need to offer daily room service. In order to avoid having our trash pile up, I ended up emptying this every night.
Great location!! Could walk to the shops and restaurants. Breakfast included. Eggs with different meat choices each day plus cereal, bagels, yogurt and more. Room was large compared to most. Had a small kitchen. Comfortable beds. Pool was small. Really enjoyed our stay.
Good room and the mattresses were wonderful. Had a small kitchen which was very useful. Our stay was quiet too. They served a very good hot breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage and ham. Cleanliness protocols were excellent. Great value.
