Location was good to catch our tours also walking distance to Macey’s and winter wonderland display. Hotel was clean and tidy with good security. Checkin was easy and we were upgraded to a junior suite. The breakfast buffet was pricey 44 USD but there was a 24hr grab and go in lobby which was perfect for us. Rooms were spacious clean and tidy. Overall a very good stay.

Hotel's Favourite
Everyone, from check-in to check-out, has been super friendly and eager to please. Any request we had, they were on top of it. The central location made it very easy to get around the city and any questions we had, the concierge was ready with plenty of info. We had an amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge from our room. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel overall was excellent as were the facilities. Most staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very expensive for a general buffet style and I would recommend eating elsewhere. The lobby and bar drinks are also average. We were served very basic bland cocktails despite the price and menu. The most disappointing thing was the rooftop bar which closed early twice whilst we were there. We had bought champagne only to have the shutter blinds closed by the staff whilst enjoying the views. They were very rude. The location is very good though and the hotel excellent overall outside of the couple of issues.

This seems to be the go-to hotel for our San Francisco conferences so we've stayed here a few times and have another stay coming up next year. I'll get this out of the way first: it's not in the best area since the Tenderloin is right there. It's really a shame since Union Square is also really close and there are some nice restaurants nearby as well and we have always felt safe in the hotel. That being said, it's a pretty good hotel overall. The service has been good each time we've stayed here and our room and the hotel overall has been clean. The bathroom is small, but has very good water pressure, so that really makes up for the size. Parking is crazy expensive ($75/night), so I'd avoid parking here if you can avoid it. The breakfast buffet is also very expensive (~$50/person), so we skipped that, but they have a great selection of pastries and coffee in the lobby, so that made for a good quick breakfast for us. It's a clean hotel with good service and a solid place for a conference. It unfortunately has the Tenderloin as a neighbor, but that's why we use Uber to get around.

I stayed here for two nights on my own. I was a little apprehensive about how safe I would feel near the hotel but it was fine (as per other reviews, I always turned right when leaving the hotel lobby and had no issues, even on my own). I had a lovely room on the 32nd floor with great views (including the Golden Gate Bridge in the background). The bed was good and the bathroom was fine. As a Hilton Honors gold member I received complimentary bottles of water which were appreciated. I enjoyed a drink at the bar on the 46th floor which had the most amazing views! All of the staff were very helpful and obliging. I would recommend to others.

The best thing about the Hilton Union Square is the location. I stayed in Tower, 1br corner suite on the 8th floor. The room was small in my opinion, dated and poorly lit. The bathroom could use an upgrade and needed to be cleaned better (shower walls and floors) The hotel is overpriced for the quality.

Booked this through BA along with my flight, although I have a Hilton honours account. Check in was fine with Rawad, received a room on the 19th floor, not really any views but lovely big windows showing lots of light as the room was drab! All the furniture was dark brown, old, doors not closing, chips etc ! No water included, no housecoats or slippers, no glass in the bathroom, very basic. Have to say the bed was amazing as was the bedding. The bathroom dark brown also, no hooks to hang towels ? Although plenty of towels ! The hotel itself had a business centre, a fabulous deli that sold coffee/tea, breakfast rolls, salads etc, in fact all you need ! Even sold bottles of wine and beer. I was amazed when I saw a machine selling small bottles of champagne ! It was fine for my 6 nights, as I was out all day, nothing special but that’s not to say they probably have much nicer rooms but I was unlucky, even being a Hilton Honours member !

Nice, large clean room and loved the sky bar. Gym was good. We were on the 9th floor but could still hear a lot of traffic / street noise so didn’t have the best sleep unfortunately. Coffees from the shop in the lobby were super expensive but delicious.

I've been staying at the Hilton Union Square for several years, primarily due to its great location and spacious rooms. My recent visit was smooth from the start. The check-in process was straightforward, and Larysa was courteous, even offering a complimentary room upgrade. It's nice to see that the hotel's hospitality remains consistent over the years. Thanks to Larysa and the team for a pleasant stay. Will be back.
