Our experience here was excellent and we would give it a top rating were it not for the shower/tub (see below). The room and mattresses were very good. Staff was friendly and accommodating. They provided a microwave at our request. And the location: for easy walking access to the Fisherman's Wharf area it was absolutely perfect. Unfortunately, the shower/tub problem is built in and not something staff at this location can do anything about. (This also applies to the Marriott in Monterey where we stayed the following week, which has the same fixture). It was a shower/tub that I hated hated HATED! It is made 100% for taking a bath and 0% for taking a shower. That is because the bottom is curved like the bottom of a canoe. There is no flat surface to stand on. Making things worse is the fact that there is only one grab bar and that is affixed to the front wall beneath the shower head. So whenever I turned around to wash my back or my rear end, I was desperately trying to balance myself on a canoe bottom with nothing to grab on to. When I finished and finally made it to the flat bathroom floor it was with immense relief. That being said, everything else is so good we would return.…

Good location for Fisherman’s Wharf and a short walk to the main wharfs for different dining options and also to start of trams. It generally felt safe to walk around the area. The staff were friendly and checkin was quick. The hotel definitely needs updating and the rooms were musty as others have commented also. Luckily the room we had you could open windows slightly to air the room. You could also hear noise from the rooms above occasionally and no one around to help with bags. Overall would be happy to stay here again.

The good: Very conveniently located in the heart of fisherman’s wharf. Short walk to all the tourist attractions and eateries. Near to tram and cable car that takes you to most popular spots in San Francisco downtown. Staff are polite and helpful. Small in-house restaurant offers sufficient variety of breakfast for several days stay. The bad: Room had a musty smell every time upon entry.

Pros The hotel is located in the middle of Fisherman's Wharf and it was very convenient for the sightseeing. Cons The hotel only has valet parking and it costs $60 par night! As we arrived at night, we used that service for the first night but we found other public parking 10 min away from the hotel which costs the half price and used it the second day.

A quick side trip to San Francisco as my wife hadn't been there. Stayed vat the Courtyard and this was my first time staying at this style of accommodation. Haven't stayed at any hotels since before Covid-19 so i was surprised by the change in room servicing (from daily to once every three days). The hotel was a clean and the room a good size, breakfast was not included and was expensive compared to what was on offer outside. Which in a way was good as we went out each day and tried a different breakfast cafe and they all where good (but that's another review) The hotel is a short walk to Pier 39 and all the wharf action. So all in all a good place to stay.

Unbelievable service. The front desk was great. They gave us coupons, tips and suggestions. It is the best location, too. Easy and safe walk to wharf, trolley car ride, etc. The parking was a little steep, but you know your car is safe and taken care of. The room was a lot larger than I expected for a major city.

Our stay was a pleasant one. The staff (especially Leo) and valets (Francisco stood out) were very helpful and friendly. Our room was in good order and using the window in the part of the room that stuck out a little further you could see the Hyde St. Cable car go by. Short walk to Pier 39 and Gharradeli Square with a tasty In N Out Burger in the same building complex. Overall great stay.

Location is unbeatable, but the wall unit in the room makes terrible noise. Located next to In n Out, pizza, walking to piers, Lombard st, cable car, etc. for location this hotel gets a 5. However, the hotel is old and has wall units in rooms that make very loud noise, every few minutes you get startled by this noise. When there is no noise from the wall unit there is noise from trucks or motorcycles outside. Bring ear plugs. Room is large but outdated. Carpeting is old. Breakfast served on the 2nd floor. A few to go items such as yogurt, cereal, muffin. There is an egg option under $2. Starbucks coffee.

You're a tourist, yes? Then you're at the right place. Close to all the tourist stuff but not TOO close. Cable car depot a short walk away (buy your tickets on the MUNI app and save a lot of $$$). Car rental next to the hotel. And the prices aren't too bad by San Francisco standards. Somehow/someway we managed to get one of the few rooms with an enclosed porch. For me this is essential when traveling with kids.

I had always wanted to spend a San Francisco trip based out of a Fisherman's Wharf hotel for the great views, good food, and maybe a little touristy nonsense. That's why I booked the Courtyard at a very good offseason rate. What surprised me after I arrived is how convenient this locatio is for public transportation all over town. The Courtyard is just around the corner from a terminus of the F streetcar line, which goes to the Ferry Building and pretty much all the way up Market Street. The hotel is also just a block away from the 28 bus line, which stops at the Golden Gate Bridge then drops south to Golden Gate Park and beyond. Our room was quiet. The street noise was less than we hear at home on a somewhat busy street. There were plenty of plugs everywhere, and we were able to opt out of housekeeping for our four-night stay. We found the bed very comfortable. I can't say much for the food within the hotel, but there are so many options nearby. The hole-in-the-wall pizza joint across the street was a good option one evening. The front desk had utensils available on request, part of their very friendly service. They also had some ice cream and snacks for sale, but we found better bargains elsewhere. Very comfortable, quiet, and friendly. It wasn't an amazing, write-home kind of stay, but it checked every box. Any hotel with no problems deserves a five-circle rating. …
