YOTEL San Francisco is in the heart of the downtown Mid-Market district, flanked by both the financial district and City Hall. The hotel is only a short walk from the famous Powell and Market Cable Car turnaround. Komyuniti is YOTEL's signature "third space" located on the mezzanine level above Mission Control. The multi-purpose area is a co-working space with device charging stations where you can hang out and recharge, informal meeting space, and private 'phone booths' for conference calls. Smartly designed to maximise available space, our rooms feature the award-winning signature YOTEL SmartBedTM, which glides from a sofa to a fully flat bed at the touch of a button. Every detail of all our rooms has been carefully considered, from the desk and work lamp to the adjustable mood lighting and refreshing rain shower.
Although the hotel was clean the rooms where very cramped and the area is the worst in San Francisco druggies and homeless all congregate outside the hotel and are very intimidating would never stay there again

The place is small but clean and quiet. The location is very convenient. The staff is amazing, friendly and helpful. They tried to help me with my cellphone which was broken, parking and incidentals.

Room was fun and unique! Loved the upstairs bed and TV. Very cosy. If you're travelling with a friend, you might want separate rooms as the toilet is out in the open 😂 but fine for me as a solo traveller. Breakfast is okay if you want want a little something to sustain you before you head out. They had cereal, fruit, breakfast biscuits, croissants and a hot drinks machine (which had really good drinks!) The hotel is close to the main shopping street and has plenty of transport links. It's also very easy to get here from SFO airport (just one train and no more than a 35 minute journey). The only let down is the area in which there was an abundance of homelessness and drug usage. Just be careful when walking around. This isn't the fault of the hotel but it is something to note.

My room served its purpose as a place to sleep after spending the day touring the city. I did not feel safe returning to the hotel after dark based on the location, but it is right next to a BART stop which is convenient. It did not really feel worth the price. The staff was kind and accommodating, but I prefer interfacing with people rather than an automated self service desk.

Loved the eclectic feel of Yotel. It has a communal aspect like a hostel but very modern feel. The neighborhood was pretty sketchy. Lots of unhoused folks out all night. Felt very safe inside. Staff was very helpful and professional.

Hotel was clean, staff was nice, place was all in all beautiful. Outside there’s a lot of homeless people but they’re not really bothering anyone and the location is a hop skip and jump from everything. Subways, shopping, food, trams etc. I’d stay here again.

I had a business trip with 5 hotels in it - it was the last and the most awful. We've changed a hotel were we didn't have breakfast to this one - an it was our misteke. My points about this hotel: 1. It is situated in the place were all the hippie and other poor guys are hanging out. To our colleagues in the morning while they were smokink in the stree came a guy with knife and ask them for money... 2. I was in "Sky room" number 921 - it wasd awful. It was wery tyni, no place were to leave any things. I didn't have a laptop safe and footwear stand near entrance, and I didn't have extra spese above the head on the second floor, as it shown at booking.com. You cannot open your window to have a bit of fresh air and you CANNOT TURN OF AIR CONDITIONER. Its running 24/7, even at night.Yes, and about window - in this room when you open window you see a wall in 1 meter in front of you. There's no sun at all. 3. There's almost no breakfast in this hotel. I stayed 7 nights there - every day only flakes with milk, croissant and yougurt. For me its not a breakfast. 4. Very high deposit - you need to pay 40$ for night taxes and 75$ for night of deposit. When you have 7 nigtht it costs more than 800$ 5. The last poin for me was that they held 12$ from me for 2 bottles of water that I didn't drink(my colleague form anoter room has the same problem). The only plus of this hotel that its tide and it is not far from Moscone Center were my conference took place. To be honest we were laughing with my colleague when we were at Alcatraz that they had bigger rooms and better breakfasts there.…

Yes, location wise the street location isn’t the prettiest, but the location is unbeatable to easily access transit and anything in downtown San Francisco. The building had amazing security (no entry without a room key or security guard) and the lobby staff were very kind. The rooms are exceptionally clean and the amenities are perfect for traveling professionals. The beds are one of the most comfortable I’ve slept on and the only downside to having one of the lofted sky rooms is that I’m a tall person, but that was only an issue whilst using the in room stairs. Will stay here when I’m back in SF!

The hotel is nice, but the neighborhood is dominated by heroin and meth addicts yelling and fighting all night long. This is not a safe place to stay. The police are there every day trying to reshuffle the addicts but they always return at sunset or never leave.

I was very pleased with my stay. Staff was friendly and informative. The bed was clean, but underneath was not the most clean. Bathrooms were very clean. My compliments to the staff. The water was also splendid!
