I booked based on walkable location, and good value. I wasn't expecting basically a new Hampton Inn on the inside. There has been obvious careful thought put into the remodeled rooms - taking cues from successful hotel chains. The Bath & Body Works toiletries in the sparkling bathroom, the triple-sheeted beds, the wrapped TV remote. Lots of nice details, not haphazard décor and amenities. The exterior doors didn't bother me - they have deadbolts for extra security. The only suggestion is to get the local Ace hardware to up their key duplication game - their keys require a lot of jiggling unlike the original Schlage keys.

Centrally located this motel adhered every way to State mandates for Covid-19 opening. Rally friendly staff! Breakfast became a bag of prewrapped treats we had selected the night before Chobani, yogurt, fresh fruit, breakfast bars--very clever way to avoid group breakfast bar. Staff was smiling, courteous and attentive. Traveling with my two millennial children who are picky, I was so pleased I'd chosen the Villager. Beds were really comfortable and the bathroom was modern and super clean. We plan to go back in the Fall. We live in Maine. We wish Villager were a chain!

This hotel is a great location right downtown, walkable to everything. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were fantastic, very helpful and pleasant, especially Morgan. The continental breakfast was ok with coffee, juice, yogurt, packaged pastries. Didn’t use the pool. Overall great place for the price and location!

The room was lovely, recently updated, and well kept. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location in downtown Bar Harbor is excellent, within walking distance of many dining and shopping options, as well as the park bus service from the town square.
