I would highly recommend! The beach is beautiful, the spa was amazing, and the room was very comfortable. Close to shopping a lots of good restaurants, I would recommend renting a car to get around. Great stay!
This is the best place to stay in Maui. Accidentally reserved a hotel room when we usually stay in a garden-view but it was very nice too. Recommend this place to all my friends who want to go to Hawaii. We'd love to retire here one day.
The Maui Villas was a lovely spot, centrally located on Kaanapali beach. Take advantage of the on-site travel excursion booking agent. She was able to get me a reservation on a sunset sail with very short notice. Thank you! Enjoy the complimentary trolley service to Whalers Village (runs all day) or walk the mile along the beach path.
Service is good depending on who is at the front desk. I had to lower the scores of the staff service and friendliness due to one front desk employee needing serious courses in classroom management. I was unable to catch his name, but he works the evening shift and wore his hair in a ponytail. He doesn’t smile, and really has a “doesn’t really care” attitude on whether or not guests’ needs are being met. We had specifically requested a quiet room prior to arrival, and he said it wasn’t in the computer, and gave us a loud room right by the highway. We asked if there was a microwave in the basic hotel room and he said no. (There was). Had we had known this, we would have done grocery shopping very differently. Upon arrival, our room wasn’t ready. We asked if there might be a fridge where we could place a few cold items so that we could get shopping out of the way so that we could enjoy the island. He said no. We found out later that there was after changing rooms the following day, and receiving exceptional service from a young woman who was able to switch rooms for us whose name I didn’t catch, and a friendly man named Joe. But since we did not know this initially, we felt like we waited around and lost a day. The same ponytail man did not tell us there’s welcome Mai Tais and such every Wednesday either. We found this out later when it was too late. I had to get new towels, and was ignored for a few minutes while he socialized in the back. Quite frankly, whenever that man was up front, the service, attentiveness, and all over friendliness was absent. …
A very fine hotel at a beautiful beach Short distance by car to interesting places, shopping and restaurants. We had rented an appartment which was very well equipped and functioning. Staff overall very nice and service-minded.
We always stay here every time. The manager was very accommodating in finding the type of room we requested. It took some effort ahead of time but we were very pleased with our stay. The room was even better than the ones we had on previous trips!
Our family stayed here for a week. We loved our lanai with a view of the grounds, beautiful plantings, ideal location, warm pool open late, right on the beach with beautiful sand and water. Would stay here again.
We had such a wonderful time here. We stayed for about a week. The facilities were beautiful and we loved having access to a full kitchen. The room was spacious and our lanai looked out to beautiful trees and part of the beach. Our stay was absolutely comfortable. Our first morning we got a call from Gina the concierge and she really came through for me as I tried to find a new company for my road to Hana tour. Access to the beach and the myths of Maui luau was just a walk a way. The front desk agent Joe was helpful with providing us items we needed for our room. The free trolley was a great benefit as it took us to whalers village which charged for parking. We encountered lots of very friendly staff. Deducting 1 star for the concierge Lisa. I was hanging out at the front lobby and saw 2 sides to her. She was warm and friendly and provided so much information to the guests, but then rolled her eyes while talking to guests on the phone. I asked her for directions to the royal Lahaina’s Luau- she did not Make eye contact and she said it was near, with no indication of which direction I should head in. I asked her for more specific directions And she said I should just follow the signs near castaway cafe. I did this and found no signs for the luau, just signs for beach walk. She engaged about 6 different groups of guests with warmth, lots of chatter and seemed to give lots of information. The only difference I saw between these guests and I was the color of my skin. This really irked my mother and I and made us feel very unwelcome…
The property was magnificent with all the stunning landscape Maui can offer. It’s on the beach with tranquil turquoise clear-not so crowded beach. A short walk to Whalers & to a lot of good places to eat, hang-out, get a drink & party if that’s what you want to call it
Our family stayed at Maui Ka'anapali Villas for 5 nights. We booked a Studio Garden View Premium through Aqua Aston. Our room was gorgeous! The resort is smaller than some of the other resorts in the area, but it's charm and location to the beach and snorkeling was perfect! The staff was friendly and we enjoyed the free trolley around the Ka'anapali area, especially to Whaler's Village. We would definitely stay there again!
