Things we liked: being beachfront, spacious 1 bedroom even for four people, food trucks nearby, Slappy Cakes, the pool and spa, mini golf!, free parking, non smoking, good on site food. Minuses: we didn’t know about the beach construction until check in, some ants in the kitchen looking for food- don’t leave any food out! The fold out bed springs kept collapsing, they need to get foam mattresses.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful when booking excursions at the concierge desk and helped book us a cab to ensure we made our excursion on time. The overall experience was wonderful and great atmosphere. Would definitely come back!
Even though the pink building is not impressive were pleasantly surprised by the size of the kitchen cum dining + lounge. Even more impressed by the size of the bathroom which had both shower and bathtub. The bathroom was almost the size of a room having a separate door to the toilet with basin attached. Staff and bell boys are friendly and helpful. We were given a room with view of the garden, which we made full use by witnessing the impressive hula dance from our balcony put up by the resort. The resort staff were accommodating enough to provide credit for an older booking which was another reason for choosing the resort and are very happy with the result. The kitchen is well equipped for a longer stay than 3 days which we had time for. It has a dishwasher, convection microwave, filter coffee machine, cutlery, and dishes. The resort has clothes washing and drying facility which if I had known would have saved carrying large luggage. …
We had 10 people in our group, two rooms. Everyone was in awe of the resort, pool, view, amenities and grounds. We looked at other resorts while there but found nothing to compare. We would all love to return.
SPECTACULAR!!! From the moment we drove up until we left, we were met with professionalism and kindness. I love the texting ability to address any issues ( what few there were). After each text, the issue was resolved quickly and there was a follow-up text to make sure it was handled to our liking. We are owners with a competitor timeshare company and in the 12 years of ownership we have not had anywhere near the level of service we received while at Kaanapali Beach Club. We will definitely be back!
This plac is nice for my first trip out to Maui. The decor is outdated. I had the chace to stay over at the Westin Nanea villa and that place was amazing, but they charge about $900 a night for a 1 bedroomfull kitchen with a laundry room.. Thats about tripple the cost of Ka'anapali.I suppose you get what you pay for.
I would like to say something positive about the resort first, and that is the suite was a reasonable size, and that’s where it ends. This resort has not been touched since the 1970’s. On booking in after negotiating all the broken lifts from the car park, and negotiating the old dirty and smelly reception area, we were told that there would be no room service for the 7 night stay, and if we wanted anything to request from reception and it will be thrown outside our room for which it literally was. There is no WiFi in this hotel, and on complaining every day, the reception area just ignored you,in fact they just nodded their heads, said they would look into it and ignored the issue. Although when being told about the resort charge the WiFi was part of the items that the charge supposedly covered, and are still awaiting credit from this as discussed with reception. The room was a battle of the cockroaches every day, as people just threw there rubbish next to the washing and drying machine adjacent lobby area( remember no room service)… The room had grubby carpets and chairs, bathroom etc. The bed was the worst I had slept on, and must have been so old springs kept squeaking, bedding was worn, ditto towels. However, the kitchenette was well equipped once you had washed everything as smeared by the roaches. We had an “ocean view suite” where you overlooked public toilet, building works and the constant beeping of delivery vehicles 24/7. The beach access was suspended due to the building works, which whilst we could see machinery and supplies from our room, we never actually saw any work being carried out. So the beach access was a very grubby access road, to a beach with no loungers or chairs. The pool area was dirty and old with dirty I cleaned and old loungers at 2mm spacing, with dirty Misty water within the pool In front of the hotel was an array of dirty food trucks that made the site looking like a Romany camp with rubbish and smell of takeaway food all over the hotel. The concierge service was the most rude people as I had no interest in their diamond club ( who would if it was the quality of this hotel) We are writing to BA holidays to ensure nobody has to sufferance this appalling excuse of a hotel I am still awaiting response from the diamond resort, or they will again just ignore our requests…
This was our second time staying here & we enjoyed everything about it. Our only complaint was that the main restaurant was not opened. However, between the carry-out cafe & the food trucks just off the property would satisfy anyone's hunger. Along with the Java Jazz Cafe across the highway from the resort.
Overall our stay was pleasant, but not 100% value for the money as we thought. Only cleaning every 5th. day (meaning the last day we stayed there??? out of 8 days) this is not fine for the money people pay. the quality of the food in the restaurant are very poor and premade and not cooked well. the consigner is a total scam and offer you money if you listen spend 2 hours to listen to buying a condo or what ever, this is not why people go on vacation. the rest was fine.
Amazing resort experience! The food and bar was better then we were expecting. Already missing the hot tub and drinks. Our room was clean and spacious. Great location near local shops and restaurants.
