Nice resort hotel. We got a free upgrade from partial ocean view to full ocean view (wonderful) but were right over the Drums of the Pacific luau every night, which was very loud if you wanted to go to sleep early (lower floor rooms on...More

Those prices are correct. We did self parking and never had any problems. They do allow the public to park there so it can get crowded during the luau. You most definitely want to get a car so that you can discover all the beautiful things on Maui! Enjoy, the resort is awesome.

In addition to the convenience food store on the hotel grounds, and a Safeway very close that others answered, you can also walk to the Whaler's Village shopping center about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel, using the boardwalk next to the beach, or the sidewalk in front of the hotel. They have restaurants, a yogurt place and convenience store with sandwiches and some fresh fruit. There are two nice restaurants in the hotel, and an additional one that is not as expensive, which serves burgers, sandwiches, salads. That is good and can save some money too.
