We recently stayed at this beautiful resort. Family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids 14,11). We stayed in a 2 queen Ocean view Bungalow. The room was huge and specious. Minimalistic décor which we liked, and it had everything we needed (even a little fridge). The beds were comfortable, the room was clean. The bathroom is huge and the shower was excellent. The place is so serene and exactly like in the photos. The staff is so welcoming and nice. I was a bit worried from some of the reviews about the place being dated and over priced, but it didn't feel this way to us. We had dinner and breakfast at the next door “Hana Ranch” restaurant which was surprisingly good and in easy reach (easy walking path from the hotel). If you want to take the Road to Hana in a relaxed and easy phase, I highly recommend staying here.…
Wonderful staff here, beautiful modern bungalow overlooking ocean. AC in bungalows... make certain to discern as other rooms with fans only. Staff lovely to help us with luggage, transport, to restaurant. Breakfast delivered to room so we could enjoy on gorgeous patio, we loved this stay in Hana.
We stayed three nights in an ocean front 2 queen bungalow which did have fans and air conditioning. The grounds are definitely amazing and the property is one of a kind. Plenty to do during the day be it hiking, Driving the hana highway, or just laying by the pool. Our son used the pitch and put golf course, tennis courts and fitness center to keep busy while my daughter and I enjoyed the spa and had amazing lomi lomi massages. If you want nightlife or TV, reset your expectations. Also plan your day out in advance so you either eat dinner early at the foodtrucks, the single table service restaurant or have food in your room so you can eat dinner. The stores close at 6pm, there is only one restaurant and the food trucks run out of their best food by 6pm or are closed by 5pm. Highly recommend using the Gypsy guide to narrate the drive. We learned so much about Hawaiian history and the lasting impacts from European contact …
Great spot to stop overnight if your doing the road to Hana but disappointed in hotel. No air conditioning in some rooms, just ceiling fans. Made sleeping very uncomfortable. Hotel room is clean but dated. Could you a face lift!
We stayed at the Hyatt Hana Maui for 2 nights on our honeymoon and it was the perfect retreat we needed after staying at a more crowded and tourist-filled resort. The location is remote, the bungalows are modern and isolated. You have to go out of your way to run into people. The view fo the ocean is worth the stay alone. But you are also close to several of the best beaches in Maui - Red Sands, Black Sands, Hamoa. The dining services are limited but there are a lot of food trucks a short distance away and the staff will shuttle you there if needed. We will be back and look forward to relaxing in Hana again while catching double rainbows.
We were excited to stay in Hana for one night. Loved the experience going all the way around the island. However, this hotel is wildly overpriced. We ended up paying about $1000 for one night including 2 small meals. The hotel we stayed on the other side of the island was $300 a night and much nicer. This place is a bit dated. The rooms are giant but don’t have TVs. Just a weird feature to be missing from a very expensive room.
We knew we didn’t want to drive the road to Hana in one day so we decided to stay the night. There wasn’t a wide selection of hotels so I was a little shocked at how much we were going to be spending for the night. But after staying I understand the cost. The hotel had everything. I almost felt like we were glamping. The room had a very rustic modern feel. The views were unbelievable. They have 2 pools, tennis courts, chip/put, basketball etc. Kind of wish we stayed more than 1 night to make use of all the amenities! The only con is that when we check in in at 6:30pm our room wasn’t ready yet.
Overall, the hotel is one of the most beautiful that we've ever stayed in. Our stay was incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Easy walk to a red sand beach and easy drive to the black sand beach. I highly recommend staying here for a night or two, especially if you're doing the the road to Hana anyway. And definitely if you don't have kids with you. The reason that it didn't get a 5 star: Lack of food. Very limited food options especially after 5pm when most of the food trucks close. The hotel restaurant (only one open) is fine but not great. If you don't want to make coffee in your room, there are also limited options in the morning. Fortunately, one coffee truck was open and it was great. I think the hotel would help itself by having an urn of coffee and some fruit/pastry options. Activities actually happening. They advertised yoga in the morning. The instructor didn't show up. According to some other guests, the instructor shows up every once in a while. One of the guests pulled up their peloton app so it worked out... …
Beautiful property! Warm and kind welcome with drinks and leis. Ocean views were amazing with areas to sit and enjoy. Our room was spacious with its own balcony. Shuttle service available to restaurant and around tge resort. Great pool bar. Provided towels.
My family and I stayed at the Hana-Maui for some R&R and the resort did not disappoint. We loved everything about it: The slow pace, the jungle location, the classes, the pools, the spa, the rooms with no t.v. Everything was amazing. I highly recommend staying at this resort if you want to RELAX and take it slow.
