My daughter and I loved our stay. The view was incredible and room was nice. Grab n go breakfast was perfect to start day. Great location. Leave door n window open for that breeze. Friendly staff. Some other reviews that I read complained about no AC when you're facing the ocean and you have that fan and the doors to leave open you don't need AC at least we didn't, (plus I brought a small portable fan to put next to me on my nightstand, cause I sleep with 2 fans on always 😃 ) Also some complained about having issues because there's no housekeeping again they were more than accommodating you left your trash out front of your room they'd pick it up if you needed anything extra like sheets towels or toiletries they would get them to you, we had no issue. Yes there's no elevator it's three stories not very difficult and worth the view! Definitely recommend. Safeway was in walking distance and because I have a refrigerator in the room that worked out great there's a shave ice place also in that shopping center and Kenji Burger was right on the corner from the hotel which has excellent food!

My wife and I had a fantastic week at the ISO. It's clean, quiet, and reasonably priced for a breathtaking ocean view. We came to Kauai to get out in nature every day and stay active after an eternity in COVID lockdown. Our favorite part of our ISO experience was our FREE daily morning yoga class by the ocean and complimentary use of their beach cruiser bikes. We very likely will return to the ISO for the morning yoga alone. However, if we bring our parents or niece and nephew, we would likely have to choose a resort with AC and elevators. The water temp didn't bother us, since we prefer cooler showers after hiking, biking, kayaking, etc. We recommend booking a second or third floor room with an ocean view and be ready to keep your ceiling fan on and balcony door and window open 24/7 to keep the room cool with fresh sea breeze (there are screens for bugs and birds).

We only stayed one night because there wasn't availability where we were staying the majority of our visit (Princeville). Staff was excellent. Very friendly. Although the little fast food was closed (not sure if it was staffing or covid related), they made due with complimentary cereal, muffins, juice and granola bars for breakfast. Our room was small but functional. We had an issue with the shower faucet, but was corrected by moving us to another room. It seemed that all the rooms had one of two floor plans. The difference was the bathrooms. One being slightly bigger than the other. I didn't see any ADA accommodations, but I wasn't looking. After our breakfast, we took the complimentary bikes out for a short ride before our checkout time. Pool was small but adequate.

My husband and bought a package thru the airlines and calculated paying around 240 a night, not bad for Kauai. Start with the good. Room was clean beds comfortable, nice location walkable to many things. Bad : unfriendly office staff. No recognition after a nine day stay. Just pretend and return a “good morning” After making a huge deal about beach towels and being told we would be charged if not returned (fair) they never had any. We stayed 9 days and due to covid they do not clean rooms. Had to call for linens and towels (we left ones out door and they left new ones there) and do it myself. Had to track down a vacuum and do it myself. Housekeeping was helpful in getting the vacuum and at least returned a “good morning” Had to request and pick up coffee creamers and bathroom amenities. The included breakfast was cereal granola bars and yogurt. This is not the norm on island we did spend two nights at another resort out of frustration (yes paid for both, ISO was a prepay) and the service was like night and day. We love Kauai and go at least two times a year to see our daughter. Will be glad when the aloha spirit returns. But never felt welcome here. Too much money for no service just a rented room. We have been vaccinated, did testing and had all our safe travel documents, wear a mask as required, If after all this a hotel is not comfortable, don’t open.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. We had 6 in our party. The room we were given was great with amazing views of the ocean. Swimming pool was very refreshing. Super location on the Island. Ate at the The Bullshed Restaurant at the beginning and end if our stay. Fabulous food and service. Would definitely stay again if ever on Kauai.

Room Tip: Ask for extra towels and a blanket. No cleaning or room service during our stay, but we didn't...
