Nice view if you like the homeless in your back yard. They've taken over the park & live there 24/7. The little pool that 3 units have to share is very scummy. Get used to hearing sirens from the police almost on a daily basis in the middle of the night that have to come to the park to stop fights and or take away individuals in body bags. We actually witnessed this. Kauai is littered with people who don't want to work & think the beaches are theirs; especially in Kapaa.

We have enjoyed our stay in this very nice home. We had five adults staying in the three bedroom, three bath place. Was clean when we arrive; covered parking for our rental; short walk to the beach with some beach glass finds; very comfortable! We walked to Baby Beach and it was o.k. The tides are rather high at this time of year so we're careful at ALL of the beaches. Would probably be more wading in the summer months. However, the sands are wonderful and lots of coral pieces to choose from. The home is well stocked and lots of extras. Our family was very comfortable here. The only downside was that the hot tub was having cycling problems so we had to unplug it as it continued to roar through the cycles. This is just a problem that the owners can fix and we didn't want to use it anyway. No big deal for us. They had lots and lots of beach toys including boogie boards which we used to snorkel with. There were flippers, snorkel gear, blow up toys, etc. Nice wheeled cooler to use. Everything one needs to enjoy the beach.

Wife and I just spent 9 nights at Moana Kai B and loved it! All the info below is accurate. Very well kept, beautiful home and location. Folks need to remember this is the beach and they are combatting elements and people and minor pests. I plan to return! Biggest surprise? Well stocked pantry with all the basics - sugar, spices, coffee, condiments etc... Recomendation? pack light! Take a couple swim suits and t-shirts and you're set! Stock up at costco on arrival but the local grocery stores were terrific. Rent bikes first day to cruise the 9 mile path in front of the house. You'll find private beaches you'll want to go back to to the north.

My sister asked for help to make her first time visit to Kauai to celebrate her 30th wedding anniversary something special. This 3 BR condo was roomy and wonderfully located for two couples. The beachfront view that took in the private hot tub and freshwater pool was exquisite. It was a direct walk to the beach with no obstructions, just sand and trees between the lanai and ocean. The condo was thoroughly outfitted and well-equipped with very nice furniture. My sister and brother-in-law had a wonderful time. It could not have been more perfect for us! Thank you so much!!

I would like to recommend that you do your research before choosing and island and area to visit. Kauai is very quiet with almost zero nightlife, shopping, or fine dining. Kapaa is a "locals" town and is not for someone who wants to be pampered and catered to. The locals are very pleasant and friendly, but they are not there to "serve" tourists. The neighborhood is nice, but definitely not manicured like Poipu or Princeville, and there are a few run down establishments in the immediate area. That being said, it was perfect for us! The condo was beautifully decorated and the common areas were spacious. Everyone had their own bathroom, and beds were comfortable. The huge sliding glass doors to the lanai made the living room feel even bigger and the small dipping pool was perfect for cooling off. We were able to walk and bicycle to nearby stores and what little shopping and restaurants Kapaa has to offer. You can rent bicycles for $10 a day and they are well worth it! Tiki Taco has the best fresh-caught fish tacos that are to die for! For a really nice dinner, Hukilau Lanai (just a short drive away) serves almost all locally grown (or caught) food. We had a fabulous dinner there! This condo is located at the start of a nice paved 4-5 mile long trail that meanders up the coastline. Just out the back gate, there is a short trail to a locals beach that although isn't great for swimming, is very nice to walk on. There are many locals at this beach, some of them drink beer and play loud music, but it is very safe and they clear out by 10 PM at the latest. We had the treat of hearing some of them play ukuleles and sing one afternoon. One drawback is that the chickens in the alley directly below the master bedroom window start crowing and clucking around 2 AM. While the crowing roosters are just part of the island, these are REALLY LOUD!! The window on the opposite side of the bedroom looks directly out to the front door so there isn't much privacy when it is open, and the frogs get a little loud under that window. We can't sleep with earplugs, but if you can, I highly recommend them. The other drawback is that the master bathroom is really tiny and cramped, and is not good for two people. There is a spa tub in front of the bathroom door that needs to be be ripped out and replaced with a nice double-sink vanity! Overall, I would definitely stay there again! Just remember in Hawaii, some patience, respect to the locals, and a smile will go a long way.
