The Bay Club at Waikoloa Beach Resort is frequently praised for its attentive service and responsive staff, contributing to the inviting atmosphere enhanced by tasteful furnishings and Hawaiian music. While the resort's cleanliness and well-maintained grounds are celebrated, some guests have pointed out issues with housekeeping. The refreshed units and complimentary parking offer good value, although maintenance and cleanliness have been critiqued.
The resort's location is appreciated for its convenience and shuttle service, but room placement has drawn some criticism. Spacious rooms are well-equipped, yet concerns about cleanliness and outlet availability have been noted.

Property's Favourite Review
We stayed in a 2 bed 2.5 bath unit. It felt like being at home. Our unit had covered parking. The units are like living in a gated apartment complex on a golf course. I have traveled many places and these accommodations were some of the best. It was situated on a golf course vs a beach which would normally be disappointing because you are in Hawaii after all and would expect a beach onsite, but our patio was enormous with exits from both bedrooms and the living room to give you prospective the bedrooms were on opposite ends of the unit facing the golf course with the backdrop of Hawaiian mountains also a desirable view. The property was quiet in early June. The pools were quiet you could literally be alone for hours. The resort offered shuttle services to the nearby shopping that had restaurants, grocery stores, a movie theater, and lots of other shops. I highly recommend this resort the beach is a short walk or drive away. I stayed at the Marriott for a day .5 miles and on the beach with a beach view for a night, but if I had to stay there for a week even with the ocean view in the smaller unit I would pick the Bay’s larger non beach accommodations. Parking was free and for us personal because we had a carport. Marriott was self park and $30 a day. I am an elite member with Marriott and they would only give me a 1 hour extension to checkout. This resort let me check in 2 hours early. I did rate the Bay’s location 4/5 for the obvious reason it is not on the beach , but as I said notwithstanding that hat this is still an amazing property.

The Bay Club at Waikoloa, HI, is our favorite Time Share of 5 that we use on the Big Island and Kauai. The formerly quiet location is now becoming crowded. The Bay Club Units, especially the 2 bedroom (we had a 1 bedroom this year) are truly specious, easily accessible, and comfortable with many things to do on the Big Island. I drove 1000 miles in one week that is typical our our 2 week stay in order to see all the sights. The lava may not be flowing, but the results of recent lava flows is intriguing. Local grocery shopping is expensive, but a 20 to 30 minute drive will be an economical exercise. Hawaii in January rather than in Indiana is a simple choice!

25 mins from airport. Suggest you get a hire car as lots to see off the resort. Stayed here for 3 nights before moving to Kings Land. Very spacious and spotlessly clean apartment. Even rooms facing the road are very very quiet. Nice spacious balcony. 3 pools. Complimentary shuttle to various places on Waikoloa Village. Great cooking facilities if you want to stay in. Free DVD rental. They arranged for our bags to be taken to Kingslqnd on day of departure.

My family spent three nights at Bay Club for the first part of our trip. We had a spacious 1-bedroom unit on the ground floor with a "garden" (i.e. parking lot) view. Bay Club is one of the older properties at Waikoloa, but it is well maintained inside and out. The pools aren't as fancy as at the other properties, but the one by check in was enjoyable. The best aspect of staying at Bay Club is that it is close to the main Hilton Waikoloa Resort, so much is within walking distance (unlike Kings Land).

I live on the Big Island, but needed a vacation for me and my 78-year-old mother. She has a hard time getting around, but everything about the unit made it easy for her, including an elevator. We were in the 2nd building on the 2nd (middle) floor, overlooking the golf course and ocean view through the palm trees. I have stayed at lots of timeshares on Kauai, but never one that was this quiet...I couldn't hear any neighbors (and I know there were others staying next door) or people walking up and down the stairs or any talking, and I really like that they have black-out drapes. All the appliances and kitchenware was in GREAT shape and good quality. The unit was spacious and just really nice. Every morning we would walk to the closest pool and swim...The heated pool is saline rather than chlorine, so the water felt and smelled pleasant. Even when it was raining, we still went swimming. PRO TIP: The Hilton Walkoloa Village has an Italian pizza place called "Nui Italian." You can text them your pizza order, and they will bring it out to your curbside (within walking distance of The Bay Club) and charge it to your room. This is the real deal Italian pizza. In conclusion, I loved this timeshare and will recommend it to friends and family who are traveling to the Big Island. Much mahalo to The Bay Club staff, and I appreciate the concierge responding so quickly to my couple of text requests!

Our bathroom had ants in it the windows in our bedroom you could not see out of it they were so dirty. We would put the dirty towels out and they would be there almost the entire day. We literally took the garbage over to the main garbage can so it wouldn’t be sitting in front of the door the entire day

We had a very relaxing stay in our 3rd floor, 2 bedroom unit. The room was clean and everything was in working order. The washer/dryer and dishwasher were great to have. All the dishes, glasses/cups and silverware were in the finished mode in the dishwasher when we entered. That was great because I usually do that myself to make sure that everything is sanitary. The large lanai was a real bonus as we ate a leisurely breakfast out there every morning while watching the golfers. On one particularly windy day, we enjoyed watching the palm trees sway in the breeze. There was always a warm breeze on the lanai which was so welcoming. The cleaning crew didn’t come in during our stay which we preferred in order to minimize contact. If we needed anything, they were always around so we didn’t lack anything. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

The HGVC The Bay Club is a great location. The 1 bedroom is a great size for 2 people to spread out and relax. The lanai is huge with both a table and chairs for 4 and 2 chaise lounge chairs. Kitchen is a good size with full size appliances. A soaker tub with an attached shower. Great water pressure. Bathroom towels soft and large plus beach/pool towels provided. The king size bed very comfortable. A bonus is a 1/2 bath. Great Covid precautions. Ice maker emptied between guests. Call for ice in the mean time and they will bring you a huge bag. The dishes all washed in the dishwasher to be emptied by you.

The Bay Club truly has exceptional staff. From the front desk to grounds workers to bellmen to concierge and activities staff all were helpful and professional. The grounds are beautiful, access to Hilton grounds was an added treat. We watched humpback whales almost every day from Buddha Point. Although quite windy, the Waikoloa location is ideal for access to Kohala, Kona, and numerous beaches along the western coast for snorkeling, boogie boarding and manta ray excursions not to mention hiking down to northern coast and restaurants up in Waimea. Merrimans was amazing! A thumbs up for Bay Club!

We were primarily diving, out of Kona, this trip. Beautiful resort with a great selection of pools to use within the club. From our lanai, we could not only watch golfers, but see the ocean, watch sunset over the water. Having washer and dryer in the unit made our dive trips easier to prep for each day. The only negative was finding the $111.30 state taxes charged to our card upon our return home, which had not been mentioned on the RCI site nor upon checkin.

There are cats but they pretty much keep to themselves unless people feed them of course. They look pretty healthy so I’m sure people feed them a lot. They don’t bother you at all or come up to you.
Aloha,
We do have the Concierges in the Lobby who can assist you with your tours and events.
David,
It depends on how many bedrooms you're staying in. We stayed in a 1 bedroom, which was located in the front of the building.
We kindly requested beforehand the top floor, but they said they're reserved for the owners only. We were an RCI exchange and ended up on the 2nd, (middle floor) and it was very nice. Grounds were beautiful below our wrap around lanai and we were directly across the street from the pool, spa, live music, activities, pickle ball & tennis courts. If you're in a 2 bedroom, they're located in the back facing the golf course/ lava rock. Enjoy!! Aloha 🌺
The shuttle takes you to anywhere on the Hilton GV properties and the Queen and King marketplaces. The shuttle is free and picks up on the hour. For us, we met it outside of the pool area adjacent to our condo unit, at the Teal colored benches. I assume that might be the same for other pick-up points, but can't say for sure. We needed a shuttle that could lift me in my manual wheelchair, and whenever we needed to go they sent out the shuttle that had a lift. We had to call for pickup to come home and it was always sent right away to the point where we were dropped off. Although free, we always tipped at least $5 ea just because. The shuttle is like the ones that some hotels use to take guests to and from airports (although this service doesn't go there), which is like a short bus equipped with luggage space and tall enough to stand in.
