We are originally from Oahu, but now live on the mainland. When we visit home we always make it a point to go to the big island to take a vacation from our vacation. We typically stay 2-3 times a year and no matter where in the world we travel my family is always most excited to come here. Don’t waste money at Mauna Kea and DO NOT stay at the Waikoloa (unless you like to walk a lot and mosquitos). Kings land is where it’s at, heading back for spring break and can’t wait to drink coffee while looking at this view!
My family is a part of the HGVC and this is the property we choose to stay at each and every time. While the location is further away from the Hilton Waikoloa, the separation provides some peace and quiet from the buzzing activity of the resort and shops. The rooms are well maintained, the grounds are something you'd find on a postcard. The onsite pool is the best pool on the entire property, offering an adults only section as well. Parking is readily available with little to no shortages of a perfect spot in relation to your unit. Plus you're much closer to the road on this property allowing a quick get away for those looking to travel around for the day. I've been coming to this property for the better part of 12 years, and it will be the property I continue to visit moving forward.…
Loved every minute of our visit, wonderful resort with a fantastic pool area and kind, genuine employees who are anxious to welcome everyone back to Hawaii! 5+ stars - can't wait until we can go back!
The team at Hilton, Kings Land, could not have done a better job, and contributed to what came to be one of, if not the best vacation, I have ever had over the 2020 Christmas break. Service was second to none, facilities were spotless, and the team went above and beyond on a number of occasions - delivering an unexpected gift box of biscuits to my door on Christmas Day being just one example. To the team at Hilton, thank you, very much! To rate as 'Excellent' feels an understatement.
I am genuinely disappointed. Completely, utterly disappointed. In the middle of a health pandemic where everyone is to remain six feet apart, maintain social distancing, and wear masks to reduce the amount of pathogen spread - My family and I was checked into a DIRTY room. We had patiently waited until the guaranteed check in time at 4:00pm for our room. What we had walked into was a breach of sanitary measures that did NOT conform to the standards of cleanliness that Hilton has prided itself on during these uncertain COVID-19 times. We found used beds, towels draped over the seats on the lanai, towels on the floor of the bathroom, trash in the receptacles. Everything that one would have NOT expected to see upon arrival to a hotel room. What makes it worse, is the current times that we are currently in. With the threat of a potential exposure to a virus that has devastated our country, I am left bewildered as to management’s inability to formally address the situation. Checking us into a dirty room is unacceptable. Extremely heartbreaking for my family to now have to deal with the stress and anxiety of this unfortunate situation. …
